I'm sure there are some minor tweaks that can be made, but overall, did I make the best of an awful pool, or was there a better colour combination to go with?

I think the big problem with the deck is that you have no way of dealing with threats. There is a lot of removal in your sideboard (The enchantments that reduce toughness by 1 is surprisingly effective) so if you did rebuild it I would recommend trying to get some of that stuff in there.

Also, the blue strategy of milling your opponent out may have been roughly feasible with that deck. I only had a brief look though.

I'm going into my second MTGO event. A sealed ISD. Hopefully I get rid of my 0/3 losing streak today.

Well that sucked. I'm keeping up my streak of not winning a single game. I was hit by a ton of three drop cards in my packs.

I generally like to try to learn some strong limited archetype, and then force that (unless there's NOTHING for it). I won so many SOM/SOM/SOM and MBS/SOM/SOM drafts forcing infect.

So I just finished going through the booster box I bought. Not one Avacyn or other legendary creature angel.

I buy three boosters from the comic shop. Hey presto! Avacyn!

Oh the irony.

Our Avacyn release booster box netted six mythics (no Avacyn though.) I've broken my three week losing streak. Won one round in the pre-release event and one round on release day with a pretty crappy sealed deck build. I've built what I think is a fairly good blue/white miracle-based standard deck so I might try standard format this Friday instead of draft. We'll see.

I have to say that I'm really enjoying being back into Magic. Thank you LRR.

Got an AVR box and fat back. No Avacyn, or other mythic Angel, but I did pull a Griselbrand. Close enough.

I also pulled like six other Mythics, it was crazy. Really loving this set so far. Also, am I the only one who thinks Moonsilver Spear is a little bit broken? It grants First Strike and fires out 4/4 untapped flying Angel tokens for free. Had one in my Sealed pool and completely dominated with it.

Well, with the luck everyone else is having with their fat packs, maybe I'll just leave mine sealed and sell it for vast profit in a decade. Also because I only play limited so I don't know what I'm going to do with all these cards. Really not sure why I bought it, except LRR told me to buy at Card Kingdom and I like opening packs, even if I don't do anything useful with the cards.

I've only opened 5 of the packs in my fat pack (promised my sis she could open some tomorrow, it really IS fun opening and seeing what you get, plus she gives great commentary on the art AND has good luck) and the only thing of any worth has been Entreat the Angels. I might have to build a deck with white just so I can use it.

Meanwhile my friend pulled both planeswalkers in his fat pack. In 20 packs he's now gotten 4 planeswalkers. I want to punch him in the face and steal them, except that he offered to split a booster box with me...

In my booster box I got a foil in every Griselbrand pack, and ONLY in those packs. I have asked a couple people but they were just like "oh I just opened them I didnt pay any attention im sure its a coincidence.

On the other hand I did pull some very interesting cards such as Cavern of Souls. And I think I may have at least two of each common card in the set and probably most of the uncommons as well. So I guess I can't complain too much.

Of all the mythic angels in the set, I pulled Bruna, the only one that won't fit in my Kaalia of the Vast commander deck. I did get an Entreat the Angels, so I won't complain too much. But I am starting to wonder if buying a box was dumb and I should have just spent the money on singles that I wanted.

Only Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and Avacyn would fit unless I misunderstand the color rule in Commander (which I freely admit I might)

Derp. That is true. I want her for a Standard deck I'm building, so I lumped her in with angels I need. Ooops.

Anyway, opened another pack and pulled a Temporal Mastery. Yay. But it's... kind of misprinted. Boo.

I think a rare sheet must have been miscut, because I got an Alchemist's Ridge that looks the same. Anyone else run into this problem? I presume the cards are still playable, but it's sad they're all wonky.

If you frequent a store, ask around for someone who collects misprints/miscuts. You might be able to get a good price for it.

Well, nothing too exciting from the boosters in my fat pack. My pre-release sealed packs seemed much better. I may just be saying that because I got Tamiyo in my sealed pool, though. At any rate, no Avacyn or Powerpuff girls in any of the packs I've opened. I did just get a Giselbrand, though.

Also, did anyone else order from Card Kingdom and get creepy tokens from PAX 2011?

I've only opened 6 of the boosters so far, I'm going slowly. No great card yet but there is still time.

I found my opponent's vexing devil runing into my 3/3 first strike creature twice in one match. I'd say it was a creature because I decided it wasn't worth the 4 damage because I could easily stop it.

Haha, this is brilliant. I mentioned earlier that in my AVR Box I pulled a Griselbrand. Well, yesterday my boyfriend's Fat Pack came in, and of course he pulls Avacyn. I want to say it's providence, but I'm going to say it's just dumb luck. At any rate, once he puts together his Blue/White Avacyn deck it's going to be an interesting fight against my Red/Black Griselbrand deck :D
