So a friend challenged me to make a Black/White deck around Black Cat. This is what I came up with. Black Cat couldn't simply be in the deck, it had to synergize well with the deck's win condition. Now it needs a name.

Critters
4x Black cat
2x Adarkar Valkyrie
4x Stoneforge Mystic
4x Doomed Traveler
4x Bloodthrone Vampire
1x Kozilek, Butcher of Truth
1x Kokusho, The Evening Star
1x Avacyn, Angel of Hope.
1x Village Bell-Ringer
1x Rune-Scarred Demon
1x polluted dead or possibly 1x Lord of the Void
1x Cadaver Imp
1x Wurmcoil Engine

Spells
2x Swords to Plowshares
1x Demonic Tutor

non-critter Artifacts
2x Deathrender
2x Thornbite staff
1x lightning Greaves
1x Sword of Feast and Famine
4x Ashnod's Alter

Land
1x Orzhov Basillica
4x Isolated Chapel
8x Planes
8x Swamp
__________
60

Surprisingly the deck is fairly consistent.

OK, this is an Ikea Bookshelf of a Commander deck, but it amuses me, and it's cheap, so that works.

Commander: Zur the Enchanter (attack and play an enchantment of casting cost 3 or lest)

...brings out...

Zombie Infestation (discard 2 cards for a 2/2 zombie)

...which is used by...

Treasure Hunt (draw until you hit a non-land card; keep them all)

...

Parallel Thoughts (pick seven cards from your deck, exile them, draw from them when you could draw from your deck)

...rounds up the utility cards...

Endless Ranks of the Dead (more zombies!), Counterspell & Power Sink (for counter tech), and Reminisce, Feldon's Cane & Elixir of Immortality (for restarting and even more zombies).

...leaving a deck of...

35 Islands, 30 Swamps, and 25 Plains.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Taaa-daaa! It's a silly deck that will break with the least amount of force, but it's cheap. What should I call it?

Bahaha. Sadly I have a deck in the works with
4 nevermore
4 shimianspecter
4 slaughter games
And much more hand and deck control.

But is that really excessive removal to you? ~10 "removal" spells is somewhat par for the course for a control deck at our Fnm.
Ill grant you the enchantments and sphere are a tad on the ridiculous side.

My current Blood Artist assemblage:

4 Blood Artist
4 Mortus Strider
2 Corpse Blockade
2 Invisible Stalker
2 Tormented Soul
3 Stitcher's Apprentice
1 Bane Alley Broker
1 Evil Twin
1 Ogre Slumlord
1 Mikaeus, the Unhallowed
1 Grimgrin, Corpse-Born

2 Midnight Recovery
3 Forbidden Alchemy
1 Murder
1 Stolen Identity
1 Unsummon
1 Agoraphobia
3 Silent Departure
2 Dissipate
2 Psychic Strike

1 Dimir Guildgate
12 Island
9 Swamp

The deck is a little scatterbrained, but it's good at putting off losing until I can get some Artists and Striders out and let the sacrifice machine get rolling.

I think it'd be more hilarious with Biomass Mutation. Biomass Mutation for 0 and kill off all your own creatures, triggering a ton of Blood Artist triggers for the win?

And I'd name the deck something like "Your pain is my pleasure." But that feels eh.

I just think Biomass Mutation is more hilarious since it only affects your creatures. Just being able to go "I'm going to kill all of my own creatures for game" seems like it'd be fun. But, in terms of being better, Noble or Killing Wave are.

I had a particularly devastating version of this deck in the previous iteration of Standard (yay, Sorin Markov, Sorin's Vengeance, and Reassembling Skeletons!), but after feedback from my main group of friends (Read: getting ganged up on repeatedly in multiplayer) I've refrained from using Killing Wave. I was able to have my fun with it, at least!

I'd rather avoid going 3 color, but with all of the dual lands in standard it probably wouldn't be too hard. I like the idea of Biomass Mutation, but I don't tend to get a very large number of creatures going at once unless the Ogre is out, so at best I'd probably be wiping everything but Grimgrin just to maybe get enough Artist triggers to take out one opponent.

I'm thinking maybe a white splash for that un-counterable Azorious board-wipe? Or maybe replacing the unblockable guys with Falkenrath Nobles and finding something other than the cipher cards to recycle my graveyard.

You wouldn't have to go three-color for Biomass. It's 2 green or blue, so you'd just need two islands up. But yea, it wouldn't work nearly as good in a multiplayer game.

Also, I think this discussion belongs in another thread. Just saiyan.

Please tell me you've "Unexpected Results"ed into Urban Evolution.

And that makes me think Hobbits, so how about the Long Expected Party deck?

Right! Hybrid. Somehow I had it in my head that that was a gold card. Sorry, still wrapping my mind around some of the multicolor stuff, Return to Ravnica is only my second block!

Also, I think this discussion belongs in another thread. Just saiyan.
I can always post one of my 9 THOUSAND other decks if you'd rather, but I thought I'd take it slow. ;)

Keen for a name for this deck I've been playing lately, its Naya Bloodrush, you ramp up to a turn 2 smiter or turn 3 hellkite then bloodrush and doublestrike it for the win.

Surprisingly effective but obvious problem is consistancy, cant keep a hand without a mana dude or farseek :(

anyways, here's the list:

Naya Bloodrush
XSin
Type II

Main Deck:
4 Arbor Elf
4 Avacyn's Pilgrim
2 Domri Rade
4 Ghor-Clan Rampager
4 Loxodon Smiter
1 Sigarda, Host of Herons
4 Thundermaw Hellkite
4 Wrecking Ogre

4 Boros Charm
2 Clan Defiance
4 Farseek

4 Forest
2 Kessig Wolf Run
4 Rootbound Crag
3 Sacred Foundry
4 Stomping Ground
2 Sunpetal Grove
4 Temple Garden

Sideboard:
3 Assemble the Legion
2 Madcap Skills
2 Rest in Peace
4 Searing Spear
4 Thragtusk
