Exquisite Blood x1
Falkenrath Noble x4
Griselbrand x1
Killing Wave x1
Pontiff of Blight x1
Blood Baron of Vizkopa x1
Deathpact Angel (foil) x1

Greetings. Long time fan here, first time poster. I'd appreciate some help naming this deck I have built, I have only played Magic since the release of RTR, and this as of yet unnamed deck is currently my favorite to play with.

As you'd guess by glancing over it, it is largely built around my Planeswalker Domri Rade, and Legendary Creature Ruric Thar. All cards in my deck, save two, are creature cards, meaning I can play nearly any card in my deck without unleashing Ruric's rage upon myself, save Domri and Armed // Dangerous, and I get to draw a card more than half of the time with Domri's +1. I also have a total of 7 creatures of which to mana ramp with (too many? probably), and 4 more that lets me draw cards, not counting Domri. I also got plenty of combat tricks in the form of bloodrush creatures, and a few flash creatures for defense.

Lands:
4 Gruul Guildgate
9 Mountain
11 Forest

Sideboard:
1 Silklash Spider
1 Feral Ridgewolf
2 Crocanura
1 Torch Fiend
1 Village Ironsmith//Ironfang
1 Hanweir Watchkeep
1 Feral Animist
1 Gruul War Chant
1 Scab-Clan Giant
3 Riot Piker
1 Rubblebelt Maaka
1 Minotaur Aggressor

Creatures:
1 Skarrg Guildmage
4 Zhur-Taa Druid
2 Predator Ooze
2 Arbor Elf
1 Wasteland Viper
1 Skarrg Goliath
1 Gang of Devils
1 Chaos Imps
1 Rubblehulk
1 Ruric Thar, the Unbowed
2 Pitchburn Devils
3 Zhur-Taa Swine
1 Tormented Pariah
2 Rubblebelt Maaka
1 Afflicted Deserter // Werewolf Ransacker
2 Briarpack Alpha
1 Ghor-Clan Rampager
1 Splatter Thug
1 Borderland Ranger
1 Scorned Villager // Moonscarred Werewolf
2 Elvish Visionary
1 Gatecreeper Vine
1 Ambush Viper

34 Creatures
Other Spells:
1 Domri Rade
1 Armed // Dangerous

Welcome to the forums.

That deck looks nice. How about something like 'Predators' for a name?

In theme with Gruul and the werewolves in the deck, how about "The howl of the clans"?

Other than that I'd say you coulddo with focusing the deck on a little less variety and more on a few good cards that follow the deck's goal of 'get big stuff down and smash'
Replacing the Pitchburn devils and the gang of devils with more Ghor-Clan Rampagers, for example, would be a great boost.

this isn't really the thread for deck improving tips but focusing on one particular aspect of a deck and building around that tends to lead to a stronger deck. the less random variety there is the more consistently your deck will give you the cards you need.

I like that name, I might use it, or some variation of it.

As for the advice on my deckbuilding, I appreciate it. I agree they feel out of place in my deck, the main reason I didn't pull them out however is because I didn't have other, more agressive big creatures to put in their place, I mostly just built the deck with what I fortunately managed to pull in my various packs. (And in the Dragon's Maze prerelease + draft I attended <3) .

If I do end pulling more Ghor-Clan Rampagers out of my packs though, they are going straight into my deck.

Well, my deck is a Simic deck with a splash of Golgari. I uses basic evolve and fathom mage and gyre sage to ramp my mana and card drawing with forced adaptations. I use Corpsejack and Varolz to double counters i put on creatures and to give everything scavenge. I only have the Dimir lands and keyrune to give me some more mana. It is a very flavorful deck. Tastes like...well, bio-soup and dirt...

So I recently put together (and purchased what I needed from Card Kingdom) a new commander deck which needs a name. I think I'll spare you the whole deck list, but it's a mono-green spirit deck using Iname, Life Aspect as a commander, and it's almost mono-spirits. I have only a few non-creatures spells, Honden of Life's Web and a couple of arcane spells (Kodama's Reach, Roar of Jukai, Kodama's Might...), and then a bunch of my larger spirits are legendary, because they're largely from Kamigawa. I feel like I should just HAVE a name for this, just because of the soulshift theme (Iname's ability basically being super-soulshift), but it isn't coming to me.

The 'Ki' to victory?

As in Japanese (though dependent on the kanji, ki can be 'tree; wood; timber' or 'spirit; heart; mind.' or other things.)

My god that sounds boring. Both to play and to play against. Also, what happens when you don't have mana for two counterspells and your opponent plays two creatures one turn? You just lose? Actually, that deck would have a tough time winning under ideal circumstances. It can cast Summoner's Bane (http://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=191360) to get a board presence, and maybe win that way...

I still feel there's a name that goes better with soulshift, but that's metric tons better than anything I've been able to think of, thanks.

I have a Dragon deck that I wish to make. It is super expensive and highly ambitious. And not at all legal in any format. And who knows, it might not even work. Why am I making this? :P
(I am making this because my style of play is typically ramp, ramp, bombsbombsbombsbombs.)

I don't have a name for it beyond "Dragons!!!", so:

4x Dragonmaster Outcast (of course)
4x Dragon Hatchling
3x Furnace Whelp
2x Darigaaz, the Igniter
2x Broodmate Dragon
1x Bladewing the Risen
1x Vampiric Dragon
2x Utvara Hellkite
1x Vaevictis Asmadi (thank you LRR for introducing me to this card. Also for introducing me to Magic in the first place)
1x Sarkhan Vol

2x Crucible of Fire
4x Wayfarer's Bauble (I call it Wayf Bauble)
3x Asceticism
2x Khalni Heart Expedition
2x Cultivate
2x One With Nature

4x Cavern of Souls (Good god is this ever expensive)
3x Dragonskull Summit
3x Rootbound Crag
2x Swamp
5x Forest
7x Mountain

=60

Sideboard. If you think these cards are better than the ones in the main board, you're probably right, but I don't think I'd enjoy playing them as much. Also they'd screw up the already strange mana split:
2x Far Wanderings
2x Fledgling Dragon
2x Balefire Dragon
2x Rakdos Pit Dragon
2x Flameblast Dragon
1x Moonveil Dragon
1x Hellkite Overlord
1x Hellkite Tyrant
1x Hellkite Charger
1x Dragon Roost

I am just enough of a fan of How I Met Your Mother that that works for me. Plus it's sung by Mayor Richard Wilkins III. :D

[Taps 2 Black, 3 Green]
and the Swamps and Forests...
[and 3 Red]
and the Mountains...
[Summons Vaevictis Asmadi]
and the Draaaaagoooon!...
...and yours!

Yeah, that works nicely. Thank you! :P

(That video also directed me to a video of The Mother, so thank you for that as well)

I should say that unless I pull off a sweet combo on turn three, it should take me quite a while to amass the necessary number of lands for the deck to work, so if I were making a removal deck to deal with this kind of deck, I'd concentrate on removal of the lands instead of creatures. Get rid of my lands (especially if I still have fewer than 6 on the table, and especially ESPECIALLY if I have fewer than 4) and I'm screwed. I'm gonna ping you with Dragon Hatchling and maybe Outcast, and that's about it. :P

The same principle applies to my OTHER (mono-green) aggro deck.

Anyone have a suggestion for what this should be called?
