They both seem viable. I guess it all depends if I wanna go super-aggro - whioh Bosh could definitely do with enough mana and the right high-CMC - or heavy control. Knowing my style, probably Bosh.

Right. I think the Commander decks coming out are a good way for you to be able to play Commander without investing a ton into the decks.

Okay, just so I understand, even though he's colorless, because his activated abilities involve red mana, I can use red-producing sources and use artifacts with red activated abilities, as well?

Yep. So you can run a Spin Engine or Foriysian Totem in that deck legally. Or any actual red spell, but that's hardly in flavour. Ghostfire might be a neat fit, since it's red but colourless. But the big advantage is that you can run mountains.

So I'm picking up the Mind Seize deck from the new Commander set, even though I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to giving other people card advantage. I just love Grixis too much to pass it up.

Yeah, it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. One thing about it that might be relevant to you, if you aren't aware, is that the card True-Name Nemesis is looking like it will be this series's Scavenging Ooze, which is to say it's worth as much as the deck. Prices are pretty varied right now, but I know I'm probably going to be selling mine right away. It's a neat card, but getting the rest of the deck almost for free is even neater. :D

Suh-weeeeet! I bought this deck so I could get into Commander without breaking the bank on a deck, and now it seems like exactly the opposite. Awesome.

Going off Graham's latest tweet/vine, looks like the next Friday Nights is going to be Commander related.

And I think I'll be having a half day next Friday at work, so I'll definitely be booking it over to my LGS to pick up two or three... maybe all of the new Commander decks.

I need Bane of Progress (and the Murkfiend Liege reprint) for my Vorel deck so much it's not even funny. That said, the Evasive Maneuvers deck that they're both in looks pretty nice by itself, but I gots to get my +1/+1 counters.

Who can disagree with Admiral Robocop?

Except replace "my +1/+1 counters" with "my Cruel Ultimatums."

Anax and Cymede are basically incredible. So I'm playing Commander with two of my friends. Not ideal Commander numbers, but better than just two people. We don't have a lot of time, so I pick out three very fast decks.

So perdidoparker is playing his Rakdos, Lord of Riots commander deck, I've given my other friend my Bruna, Light of Alabaster deck, and I've chosen my untested Anax and Cymede deck. I'm expecting Rakdos to dominate the match or stall and everything to go Bruna's way. Sadly, Bruna never hits the critical sixth land, and though Rakdos hit the board on turn four, right on cue, he couldn't summon enough support to stop Anax and Cymede from swinging in for lethal on turn 7 or 8. My final board state was somewhere around 6 creatures, so Anax and Cymede would activate for an additional 6 damage each time I targeted them.

All in all, a successful playtest. Though I suspect they wouldn't work so well with more players.

I'm helping my roommate build a G/W tokens deck with Trostani as general. It's so much fun helping a friend discover new cards and build something neat.

Ooh! I recommend having him create tokens and print them out. It's a nice touch in a deck that makes a lot of them, and can be pretty fun.

That's a great idea, Lurkon! I'll definitely do that. I'll point him toward Inkwell Looter, as well.

There's this process if you want to make some pretty good-looking tokens/proxies. Up-side: The finished product looks really good. Down-side: You need to invest in some foil lands or other cheap foil cards.

Never use this for competition, of course, but for fun, it might be an option.

So I'm looking to do something interesting with Daxos of Meletis. I don't want to build a Voltron deck, as I have a Blue/White Voltron commander deck in Bruna, Light of Alabaster. I'm thinking some card draw in blue is going to be nice, but other than that, I have no real direction.

So far, I feel like if Daxos is your commander, you want to be swinging with him, perhaps more of a combat-trick focus?

Anyone have any ideas?

Did you see the Commander game that Graham did? One of his opponents was using Daxos so I dunno if you might want to watch/rewatch that and see what his plan was before getting pounded into the dust by that u/r/g guy. Outside of that I'd just do U_W_Combat_Tricks.dec.

Also I just finished my first commander deck, but don't have any ideas for an awesome name. It's Myr tribal and the only focus is myr, win con is pending :P. Any and most suggestions welcome!
