Yes. But it is colorless.

Holy mother of god, Kruphix. I never thought they'd be so insane as to reprint anything resembling Omnath's abiltiy again. I simply cannot wait to get my hands on this guy. To say nothing of his Reliquary Tower effect making him BFFs with Prime Speaker Zegana

I just want to have Kruphix and the associated prophet out to pool colorless mana every turn until I can flash in an Eldrazi. I don't care about going any deeper than that.

Well, I know what my next commander deck will be. Maybe build it around X costed spells... seems fun.

Spite of Mogis could be interesting in some kind of Izzet or Boros burn deck. Sure it doesn't go to the face but it's dirt cheap, scy 1, and scales with the game to take out must kill threats.

Well I asked that Kruphix not be anything to do with card draw or +1/+1 counters so thats a positive. I think people are going to have to be very disciplined in their deckbuilding, myself included to make a fun deck with this guy. That means no prophet of kruphix, no seedborn muse and a reasonable number of X-draw spells. At least thats how I see it, others may disagree.

Re: The Journey Into Nyx Happy Fun Spoiler Time Thread!
Disappointed in Kruphix. Partly because they gave him such a low power. 4/7? really? That's pretty bad considering gods don't give a crap about taking damage. I'd much rather have a 6/3, or even a 5/3. It's going to be rare (outside of prerelease) that toughness is going to matter at all.
The hand size thing is neat, but geared towards EDH (a format I don't like, but eh) and control. The mana-storage thing is cool in concept. But at five mana... what are you saving up for in a non-EDH format (even limited)? It's like Karametra honestly. Building up mana to play what? I'll tell you what, Sphinx's Revelation. That's about it right now. Don't get me wrong, being able to pool your mana as a 'just in case' is not bad, I just don't see it being great when you consider that devotion means you can generate more than enough mana in the right deck to just dump your hand anyways.
And I'm sad that Kruphix is geared towards control and EDH. That said, I'm sure a lot of people will have fun with him. And that'll likely be enough. I'm just let down.
In other news:
Spite of Mogis is pretty neat. I like the idea of it, as well as the fact that it's fairly decent removal in the right deck.
I don't think Spite The Believers will be great in any format but limited. In EDH, there are better options. In Standard, it's too slow, with it's 'add another creature' cost being just a bit too high to be majorly relevant.
Setessan Tactics seems interesting. I like the idea of putting it in W/G heroic with Heliod and Bow of Nylea. Swing in, give your guys +1/+1 and T: Fight while triggering heroic, kill all the creatures your opponent loves, drink their tears.
The RR hate guy seems kind of nutty. But... what deck wants him? The RR cost makes him hard for any two-color+ deck to play. His ability means that you're barely going to be doing more damage with your burn than you're going to be taking. Same with most of your agro creatures. It just feels a bit awkward to me. Like it wants to be in another color.

It seems like there has been at least one god a set specifically geared towards EDH, Heliod Kinda felt like that in Theros and Karametra definitley was that in Born

Now I feel if that RR Eidolon did 2 damage to a player when a creature of CMC 3 or less entered the battlefield, THEN it would be choice in standard esp. as a good red counter against Aggro Pack Rat.
Oh-h-h-h SNAP... Concede.
Re: The Journey Into Nyx Happy Fun Spoiler Time Thread!
It is the newest in the line of making old hate cards into creatures like Thorn of Amethyst and thalia the Eidolon is a Pyrostatic Pillar with legs

So, Heartbeat of Spring with flash. Interesting.
Mind Control plus flying and +1/+1. Interesting.
Functional City of Brass reprint. o_O

Alternatively, a Spirit Away reprint that loses 1 power in exchange for being a 1 mana creature.
I rather like tonight's spoilers. Would like to see the Gods, but these are cool too!

I just want the Mind Control to be uncommon. At rare, in a 1-1-1 draft set, it's not actually going to be well-used for the only thing it's really good for (limited)

Overall, I think I'm going to like Journey into Nyx much more than Born of the Gods.

For me I'm sure the "new and shiny!" thing plays a part, but so far it does seem like a sweeter set than Born of the Gods.
Also, resolving Worst Fears is now probably my number one goal of full Theros block draft. It's not even good or anything (I mean it obviously can be insane in the right situation) but you can't print an 8-mana mythic sorcery and not have me try and resolve it at least once.

I know right! My jaw just dropped into the basement when I saw that! Heck, it's technically even better, considering your opponent can't tap it to make you lose life (but the damage can't be prevented)

it is not technically better.
Yes now your opponents can't kill you with rishadan port, but with City it was a trigger not part of the cost to lose life/take damage so if you was at 1 life you could tap city and with the trigger on the stack cast something to give you life for example Sphinx rev. to use a modern card

Re: The Journey Into Nyx Happy Fun Spoiler Time Thread!
Overall, I think the pros and cons between City of Brass and Mana Convergence are a wash. Both are equally powerful, which is to say, much less powerful than you initially think, but still really good in the right deck.
Painlands hurt, enough that you don't want to use them unless you're in aggro or combo, or if those painlands can be used for other things (like Horizon Canopy, or the pain duals, which can at least tap for colorless for no pain.)
And drawing multiples? It's awful having to shock yourself each turn just to play your spells.

I'd think it's be easier to recur a sorcery than an artifact. Need to do research on Gatherer, though.
But yeah... Worst Fears in every EDH deck ever for me.
Also, I will be calling Hypnotic Siren "Dat Siren", because all the creatures on Theros want to be with her.
