MTGO Clan

Postby Nullrush » 23 May 2014, 13:01

I was watching the latest MTGOAcademy video, and heard Graham and James say that there doesn't yet exist a LRR MTGO clan.

So, why not make one?

There is fan drafting already, why don't we start a LRR clan on MTGO?

I don't know if this has been brought up in a previous thread or anything, so if it has, I apologize.

The consensus in the chat seemed to be that there really isn't a reason to have a clan on MTGO, it doesn't really do anything for us. So far it seems like it's been easy enough to coordinate drafts on the forums and the twitch chat.

On the flip side, is there a reason to not have one?

(I can think of one; I'm already a member of a different clan. Other people might be in the same boat.)

there is a lrr clan but someone who is never on runs it.

also there is no advantage to it.

There are already 2 LRR clans, but I don't know if either are active. Do we need a third?

There is an upside I can think of: it allows for "hey, who's online now who wants to join a queue with me?". Then again, I suppose it depends on how highly we rate having that available.

I say if we can just get Elomin Sha to step down and let someone active be the leader, that would suffice.

I'm a member of a different clan so I sadly wouldn't be able to join, I suspect that other people in the same boat like Duckay would find it hard to participate in fan drafts if they were organised through a clan rather than the forums.

I think the last time this was brought up it essentially boiled down to "most of us are already in the Limited Resources clan"

Given the close affiliation between LRR and LR it seems like a good home for us. Plus they have a Cube! It's awesome!
