True, but I'm wholly prepared to acknowledge elves as a higher form of life than humans and also that flowers are pretty. We can work on this! She has merfolk friends. I can be her friend too. I'm sure this will all be fine.

Well... yeah, during Zendikar, she was a racist jerk. Afterwards, when she realized her releasing the Eldrazi meant her entire tribe being wiped out by the Eldrazi, she started to straighten up and fly right.

Anyway, I think Domri Rade would be kind of cool. He'd be like an impressionable little brother. I mean, he is only just old enough to have gone through the Gruul Rites of Passage.

Tamiyo would probably be cool, too, even if she'd largely just want to write her thesis.

Isn't he kinda busy being power hungry and power mad on theros?

I'd say Gideon. Seems nice enough.

You know, I'm tempted to introduce a hard mode of "most fun black planeswalker" black mana that is.

Considering Sorin is the only real walker that's black and not evil, I think that's actually easy more. :p

Trickier one: You're a budding young Planeswalker. Who do you want as your mentor? For fun, we'll say you're a wild, flux-filled mage right now and you can currently do all five colours, but you'll probably settle into the same colours as your mentor.

Tamiyo. The science and the moon are intriguing. Also, most sane and less of an ass.

I think Nichol Bolas would be a good mentor as I think he's probably the strongest Planeswalker atm. Also I can just kill him when I think I've learn ed enough.

If you think you can kill Nicol Bolas, well... best of luck to you. :P

I'm not sure who I'd pick off hand. I'd almost want to say Sorin. He's one of the oldest walkers from my understanding, and he's actually one of the good guys. Being able to create beings of power like Avacyn seems like it'd be pretty awesome. Ajani would be another good one, as it means potentially having access to all of the naya colors when I 'cooled off.' He's also one of the most loyal walkers from what I've seen. And he's a kitty.

Wasn't Ugin a dragon planeswalker and one of the good guys? If so, I'd actually likely pick him. He seems pretty powerful. The fact he's colorless is pretty cool. And apparently, he knew a way to absorb colored magic as well based on the Eye of Ugin.

Mentor? Sorin.

Sorin's plot always goes the same way, or at least has thus far. He stumbles across some problem. He designs an elegant if ruthless solution to said problem, and leaves everything in a state of equilibrium while he wanders off for a few thousand years to solve other problems.

Then someone comes along and ignores the big flashing signs that he leaves around that say "DO NOT PUSH THE BIG RED BUTTON", fucks it all up, and he turns up to clean up the mess.

His abilities on-card can always be summed up as "Oh come on" "For fuck's sake stop breaking everything" and "for the love of Urza I'll do it myself"
When the upkeep takes longer than the main phase, I know I've done my job well.

I feel like the only Planeswalker that I could even TALK to is Tamiyo. I think Tamiyo's the only one who isn't a superhero or supervillain trying to either save/destroy/rule the Multiverse or kill somebody. Tamiyo just thinks everything is really neat and interesting.

Mentor-wise? Sorin, Dad of Innistrad. No question.

BFF-wise? Ajani. Sad cat man and I have a lot to talk about.

For mentors, I would be hard pressed to choose anyone over Tezzeret. And then I'd hang out with Venser, because he's another artificer, but I think would be more fun to hangout with.

I think Sarkhan might be an interesting mentor once he gets his mind back into shape. Seems like they're shifting him into a protagonist role.

For a mentor and general teacher, I'd have to go with Tamiyo, for the reasons already stated. She seems really calm and I'd love to discuss magical theory with her.

This is amazing. And absolutely correct.

As a mentor I'd have to go with Sarkhan. Can't exactly say there'd be a dull day with him around. Plus he's in my colours, so...

Personally if I would have to choose a planeswalker to be my teacher it would be either Ashiok, since he is in my favourite color combination or Ajani, because he's a giant kitteh(also wise, brave strong and stuff).
If I were to choose a planeswalker to hang out with, I would go with Vraska. *pun alert* The only problem is that I would probably be stoned all the time...

I think Ajani would be the best mentor since he's the least dickish, and it's kinda the point. He is the Mentor f Heroes after all.

I don't think any of the walkers would be fun to hang out with. They're all insane, depressed or meglomaniacs.

I don't know anything about any of the planeswalkers but I'm going to make some guesses.

Jace would scuplt your mind if he got bored of you.
Garruk would keep yammering on about survival techniques, and the bomb shelter he built in his shed.
Liliana would smell awful, comes from spending too much time around undead I guess.
Ajani would be too busy staring meaningfully off in the distance to talk to you.
Sorin might just sacrifice you to a demon, or he might get hungry.
Chandra may be hot, but contrary to popular belief there is such a thing as too hot.
Xenagos looks like he might be fun, until he plays a trick on you.
Gideon looks like he'd be to boring/serious. Probably preferable to hanging out with the other planeswalkers though.
Koth seems like he'd be cool, but he might accidentally animate the land under your feet while he's not paying attention.

In short, they all sound too scary to hang out with. Power corrupts and all that.

Oh god. That's terrifying.

JACE: "Why do I hang out with this guy again? Screw it, I'm changing him to something more interesting."
ME: "Jace, what do you mean 'change'?"
JACE: "Don't worry about it. I'm about to improve you."

I think that largely depends on if it's new Jace, who supposedly doesn't do that as much, or old Jace, who was an asshole.

I was musing about this sort of thing about how the different planeswalkers would interact in the MtG movie that may or may not get fully made. Of all the ones currently around, I think that Elspeth might be the least likely to give me a hard time, followed closely by Ajani. I really like Ral Zarek as a guy who's just there, but I have a feeling that he's actually kind of a Bro-grammer, a callous jerk who also happens to be a genius.
