the last 20 slots will be allocated to Basics; there're four art for each basic in each set that has them.

I could have 4 basic land arts. It could have less if the other sets add their own art, which is possible with the time travel stuff involved

The basics are already accounted for:

There's still enough space for another cycle or two of lands.

To clarify my earlier comment... Sultai are my very favorite color combos. My three favorite colors. I was going to make a Sultai commander deck... and now it is a delve deck!

New Sorin and Vol cards, another Ugin artifact [x]... Are we going to see more Eldrazi by the third set?

Yea. While I don't want it to, I kind of feel like this is going to become 'return to Zendikar.' Mostly because I'd actually like to see that be it's own set, and have Tarkir have it's own set.

I don't expect this to become Return to Zendikar. Story wise Sorin and Sarkhan are both on Tarkir because of Ugin. Sarkhan because of the voices and Sorin because of Ugin's roll in sealing the Eldrazi before.

So yeah, it's part of the Eldrazi story, but I personally don't expect the story to move to Zendikar later in the set.

Well, someone tell Jer the bad news that Sidisi isn't a snake. On the plus side, the newest Wrath variant also hoses Bestow, because why not?

So in other words, they added one more mana to prevent there to be a '4-mana wipe.' But they threw in the ability to literally just hose the last set's big mechanic. And making creatures indestructible doesn't even stop it.

Now I want to make a Sidisi deck with support from Innistrad block for self-mill.

It's not exactly the first time that a card has been printed that is in direct opposition to a mechanic from a recent set. (See: Ash Zealot and flashback).

My main problem with it is that the board wipe is likely going to be played anyways. It sounds like it's going to be the lowest CMC wrath we're going to get. If something is going to be a hoser, like Ash Zealot, then I'd rather it need to be played for that on top of anything. Like, I don't mind Back to Nature, because it's a fairly narrow use against any non-enchantment deck. And Ash Zealot was good, and didn't just stop that entire mechanic. It just punished you for using it.

I guess one of the big things I liked about bestow is that it avoid board wipes and kill spells.

Sidisi looks like a good replacement for Jarad in my Dredge deck.

At least this boardwipe can be countered.

After taking the which clan are you and ended up abzan and seeing the cards related to the clan, I know what I'm choosing at prerelease!

Well, he doesn't completely hose delve. But reanimator type strategies are pretty hosed.

As a note, I don't think the first two are confirmed. They seem to be the current best guesses based off a low resolution image of the intro decks 'main card' that they belong to. If they turn out to be true... well, ankleshanker seems super strong. He's going to dominate limited and seems perfectly playable in constructed to me.

Ew... first time I've seen Wingmate Roc. That's a mythic? I mean, I even think it's a good card, but it does not feel mythic by any means.

My thoughts were basically, they figured the basic effect was too strong for a rare due to limited (two 3/4s in the air for 5 is very bomby) especially in only one color, but not strong enough on it's own for a mythic. So they tacked on a relevant life ability that feels eh to bump it up.

Combine that with Mardu Ascendancy or Goblin Rabblemaster, and you're going to be gaining a ton of life.

Yeah it certainly seems like a limited balancing thing. I mean at rare it wouldn't be as bad as say Pack Rat, but the card is just absurd in limited. 6 power and 8 toughness split over two bodies that are hard to block and also can gain you a bunch of life that makes them even harder to race.

On the Channel Fireball Hit or Myth scale of judging the "mythicness" of a card, this is one of the easiest myths in recent sets, but it's still busted enough in limited that it's probably for the best to stick it at mythic.

See the Unwritten needs to be in about three of my commander decks (my Marath, Prossh, and Vorosh the Hunter decks to be specific). Hoping that it's irrelevant enough in most competitive contexts to be cheap. It's better than summoning trap but notably worse than Tooth and Nail so, fingers crossed it holds around a buck or two.

I am very excited about Delve. Last week one article, I forget which, teased that he would be previewing a card this week that he was sure would be standard-relevant, with a cost of XXBBBB. My immediate reaction was that there was no way that something with a minimum casting cost of 6 with an x-based effect (to say nothing of the BBBB) was going to be relevant, but if it has delve...well, it has my attention.

If it has delve, it still faces the Phyrexian Obliterator casting cost issue, but Urborg in standard and mono-black already being a deck certainly helps in that respect.

It'll probably be
Reanimateball - XXBBBB

Sorcery

Delve
Return X target creatures from your graveyard to the battlefield.

I hope it's a different effect than that, because Delve totally fights reanimate effects, but other than that, I could see that card happening.

And Summoning Trap could be free, which was very relevant in the Eldrazi Green decks it saw play in. Oh, you Mana Leaked my Primeval Titan? I guess I'll Summoning Trap for free and get Ulamog.

That said, See that Unwritten is much better than Summoning Trap when cast for full price, so it's really more of a situationally better card.
