Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
this is the cut off, there are currently 10 pools submitted so no new pools will be excepted.
if you are 1 of the ppl that showed interest (RebelliousUno, Antitonic, hascow, adi_pie & selenes92) but have not submitted: Because you all have been in previous seasons, I will give you until the start of round 2 to submit and for every 2 (so we can avoid byes) that submit I'll make an exception. If anyone else wants in on this lottery pls PM me and make your case.
and for those that did submit already: Welcome to the BFZ LRR Fan Sealed League, I will be your host on this trip around the war torn world of Zendikar...and more importantly pairings should be up in a few hours.

Indeed, those were some fun. Coulda done with less extensive flooding in G1, but thankfully the deck seemed to get its s*** in order after that. And naturally, had you managed to play your superstar, it would have been an entirely different story.

As you always want in league, we had a good slug fest. I managed to ingest or otherwise exile a few too many bombs, and that was that. Good fight, man.

Doesn't look like I'm going to be getting in, even with the extension I have. Work has just been crazy.

Those were good games, when we weren't mana screwed/flooded.
I snuck in an exactsies win, but you pulled out the Vorthos plays.

Close games that would've been significantly less close had you drawn swarm surge at an opportune moment, and I love that game 2 game down to a "1 is not 0" moment.

2 vary different lessons were learned today:
1 (from game 1) Benthic Infiltrator can Mill your opponent
2 (from game 2) the easiest way to beat a turn 3 Drana is with a turn 6 Ulamog
and the best part is both games were extremely close up until the end.

Game one: Greedy attack cost me the game after slowly clawing back at 3 hp
Game two: Fisticuffs all around and a close match
Game three: Being aggressive (and a small MTGO misplay) won out

2 questions to the league(need 5 yeses before I make either change):
1 - How do ppl fell about uping the round count to 9? Given that there are only 10 of us this season, it would give us each a chance to play each other.
2 - In regards to missed matches: Would you prefer the chance to make them up or keep them marked as draws?
Reminder:
with the holiday season coming up in the US it's probably a good time to post this: If you don't think you will have a chance to play your match in a given week PM me and I will try to match up players that can't play to reduce the # of byes/forfeits. With that said I will only have internet on my phone the week of 11-22 (round 5) so the pairings my be up late.

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
I like 9 rounds. Running the full Swiss sounds sweet.
If you feel like keeping track of missed matches and allowing players to "rewind the tournament" for them, seems fine to me. If we move to 9 rounds then there's no worry of 'corrupting the results' anyway since we'll all play each other regardless. (not like anything's on the line either)

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
1. Would be fine with 9 rounds.
2. I don't care either way.
3. Are we stalling the League's next round until after Desert Bus? If not, I'm just going to pre-emptively say I forfeit that round.

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
1. 9 rounds sounds good, but perhaps not if it would push us too far into Oath of the Gatewatch without new cards to play with. I suppose that depends on release dates, which I'm not aware of yet.
2. I'm okay with being able to make them up, as long as it isn't too much of an administrative issue. Prior to that, I think it's appropriate to keep them as draws.

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
1. Honestly, not a huge fan of doing all 9 matches, if only because (assuming we stick to the 1 game a week model) then it starts to butt up against the Christmas/holiday season, and just speaking personally, I have a lot of family commitments to juggle around that period which would make organising games... interesting, to say the least. Nevertheless, I'm happy to go along with the consensus on this, especially given point 2...
2. Related to that, if you guys do want to go ahead with the "all 9 games", then does it even *matter* if games are played in the "correct" week? Since everyone would be playing everyone, then the W/L pairings don't need to be all that super accurate, right?
But again, assuming the "1 match per week" doesn't change, I'd vote for a 1 week extension on missed matches. Sometimes peoples' schedules get crazy through no real fault of their own, so it's a bit rough to say that they're just s*** outta luck for that round. That said, unless something really unfortunate happens, there should be little excuse for not finding some time inside a 2 week window to organise a game.
LASTLY: as a heads up, I WILL NOT be playing any matches during DB, and I also vote for just skipping that week entirely.

That second game was absurd. Slab Hammer + Skyline Cascade forcing a chump block every turn for 6 turns, and you still churned out so much value that he only got in because of a topdeck skitterskin.
