Atifexe 0 - 2 AdmiralMemo

Good games... well, game.

Game 1 was just unfair. Atifexe mulled to 5, dropped a land, and then didn't play anything else until another land Turn 4. Meanwhile, I'm curving out royally... I could've done lethal at least 4 or 5 times before I did, but I felt so bad that I didn't go for it. I wasn't just doing nothing, but I was only putting in probably a 30% effort, just hoping for a stabilization.

Game 2, on the other hand was REALLY GOOD. We were both on the ropes at times, stabilized, came back, and kept swinging who was on the offense and who was on the defense. I ultimately ended up just bringing out one more spell than average and that sealed the deal.

abanytar (venerable_bede) 2 - 0 SaloAbraxas

GGs, friend!

Game 1 was a bit one-sided, unfortunately, as SaloAbraxas wasn't able to build up much of a board presence.

Game 2 ended because my lifegain synergy was able to survive a 8/8 trying to break my face.

KeiranLC 2 - 1 Auserker

The first two games were fairly one-sided, with each of us losing after stumbling on mana. Game three was a bit of a slog. We both had no problem with mana, but I was drawing my creatures as needed, especially once I had a lantern down. I was worried after an Awakened Planar Outburst from my opponent, but I drew into a Tide Drifter and continued with my creatures and was able to fight through a Dampening Pulse to the victory.

Game 3 was a great game, came down to KeiranLC being able to draw what he needed through scry and MTGO putting the last of my creatures at the bottom of my library. Even without creatures I was happy with how my deck was able to hold out and stall the game for some time while I was hoping to find another answer.

Hacofo [2 - 1] Omega Lairon

Another one of those games where the RNG just decided I wasn't allowed to play anything meaningful. Game 2 wasn't so bad though - but games 1 and 3 can go jump. I mean, stuck on ONE land for 8 turns... that's just hateful.

Still, what can you do?

Game two I was a bit to hesitant with the removal I had in hand, and got punished for it.

Hope the RNG works as well in your next round as in our post game, match.

@Randus2003:
I'm guessing my next opponent is abanytar since you've given DeathNDecay two matches this week ;)

I'm happy that I've been able to pull out of the Sealed Deck slump that I've been in that not only was affecting me here but my attempts at the MtGO sealed league. I've actually won my last 3 sealed matches after losing the previous 12...

Randus2003 2-0 AdmiralMemo

game 1 - memo mulled to 6 and I keep 2 land and my Girl...after getting stuck on 3 for a few turns Chandra came down and cleaned up for me.

game 2 - I was a little nerves when I ran out of cards in hand w/ what amounted to a bunch of ramp in play....so I did the only 'sane' thing and sac'ed my 2 mana rock to draw 2 (putting me down to 9 sources)....and my luck is back cuz I hit big with forest and my eternally hungry beast...the game then promptly ended.

Looks like I should just put this here (KeiranLC this is some repeat of the PM I sent you):

Because some time things just come up: Ultimately if the game doesn't happen (by Noon Sunday MoonBase Time) it will be mark as a draw unless 1 player choses to concede the match.
Side Note:Please don't ask your opponent for the win because they didn't get back to you - this is a for fun league after all

With that said this is why I request a heads up ahead of time if you know you want be able to play (so I can pair with that in mind).

If you would like I could try and contact them also but I doubt that would do more than posting here or your PMs...the other thing you can try is adding them as a buddy on MTGO and hope to get lucky and run in to each other.

Atifexe 0 - 2 KeiranLC

Sometimes, even when everything goes well, victory is impossible. This time, there wasn't any specific culprit to be called out; though I feel the games might have gone differently if my first creature had been Kalastria Healer instead of Beastcaller Savant both times, the only way to know for sure would have been for that to happen.

Good games, Keiran, and best of luck in the next round!

Omega Lairon 0 - 2 SaloAbraxas

Those were some games. Some early removal and ally synergy had me on the ropes at the beginning of game 2. But I survived long enough for some bombs and endless graveyard recursion to save me. Emeria Shepherd continues to be a good card.

These second phase games are interesting. We were talking after about how we all have better decks than a regular sealed. It seems like we have a race to see whose deck can do its awesome thing first. It's definitely made for some interesting games. Though I have one more dream I hope to pull off with my deck...

Good luck next round!

abanytar (venerable_bede) 2 - 1 DeathNDecay (Allenzo)

Game 1 was all curve-out ally fun-times for me.

Game 2 was Noyan Dar making an Island swole as EFF for DeathNDecay.

Game 3 was...MtGO being a turd for DeathNDecay, incorrectly displaying a land in the opening hand. :(

Auserker 2-1 Hacofo

Game 1 - I fell behind at first and was slowly overcome by UW flyers and great removal from Hacofo.
Game 2 - Once again I was being overwealmed on board however was able to wipe the slate with a Planar Outburst, then get my Dragonmaster Outcast out. Was able to blink the Dragonmaster to save him from removal. Then a stream of 5/5 dragons helped me fly to victory.
Game 3 - This game was very close with us both building boards and trading removal. In the end I was able to keep with offence tapped down and make enough 5/5 dragons to take the win.

Most enjoyable round so far for me 3 good games without anyone getting screwed over by their deck.

scores at end of round 6:

(5-1-0) abanytar
(2-4-0) AdmiralMemo
(1-5-0) Atifexe
(3-3-0) Auserker
(4-2-0) DeathNDecay
(2-4-0) Hacofo
(3-3-0) KeiranLC
(2-4-0) Omega Lairon
(5-1-0) Randus2003

round 7 of 8 pairings:

abanytar vs Hacofo
Randus2003 vs Auserker
DeathNDecay vs SaloAbraxas
KeiranLC vs AdmiralMemo
Atifexe vs Omega Lairon

While it would appear that we are at that point where pairings start to get a little awkward, so remember if I accidently paired you against someone you already play send me a PM and I'll do what I can to fix it.

ggs....there where some mana issues in games 1 (me getting stuck on 2) and 3 (them getting stuck on 3) for each of us in turn but if all games in this league (win or lose) played out as great as game 2 (so swingy and so fun) I would be a happy LRRFan player.

Game 2 was very good, it felt like both decks were performing as designed. Game 3 was fun even though I missed a few land drops, in the end the game never felt out of reach. Great round, was amusing to see how many times Randus could bring his creatures/plainswalker back.

Atifexe [1-2] Omega Lairon

Good games all around - neither of us got too badly mana screwed or flooded at any point, so it was refreshing to have the decks operating at maximum capacity or near enough to it.

G1 saw my rapidly dwindling ally army swarmed over by big beefy eldrazi. G2 saw fortunes start to turn in my favour, with one notable attack where mid-combat boosting turned a foolish charge into glorious and almost total victory. Finally in G3, I got a little stuck on land for only a turn or two... enough to feel some heat, but not so long as to spell disaster. My opponent pulled out not one but TWO Bane of Bala Ged...ses. But when all seemed lost, it was Resolute Blademaster to the rescue, giving my fliers and miscellaneous ground troops the much needed damage to pull through.

Well fought friendo, and best of luck with the final round and/or next season's league!

DeathNDecay 2-0 SaloAbraxas

Game 1: Noyan pulling his weight as a 6/6 plains beats in
Game 2: mull to 5 but strong draws and placing my stasis snare into an isolation zone weren't enough to push back against the tides.
