Re: Tiny Leaders
Just ordered (well, if you call PucaTrade "ordering") the cards for my first Tiny Leaders deck. Went with the old school of thought that mono-red is playable in any format, and built what I called Zurgo Deck Wins. I've been arguing over using Teetering Peaks and Smoldering Spires. Having 10% of my lands enter tapped seems kind of daunting for the aggressive red deck. On the other hands, it's nice to be able to squeeze out extra damage in my land slots.
Do need a Chain Lightning and Goblin Guide. Why is Guide more expensive than Chain Lightning? It's ridiculous.
On a different topic, I'm glad that the EDH changes aren't affecting Tiny Leaders.

Re: Tiny Leaders
I'm currently running a mono black aggro list with Kiku, Night's Flower and a mono red goblin tribal with Tuktuk the Explorer who is there mostly for flavor and one time ability to create a token(damn you replacement effects), but these two lists are basically "placeholders" until I finish my Anafenza deck. I'm feeling really stupid when I see how much money I 've already spent on it and how much more I need to finish it.
@MowDownJoe Guide is probably more expensive because it's played both in Legacy and Modern, while Chain Lightning is played only in Legacy

The good thing with Tiny Leader is that I barely have to change my Teysa deck to fit the format

Re: Tiny Leaders
Enough people I know nagged me about making a tiny leaders deck, so I threw one together out of cards I had lying around and cards that were cheap: Size Matters When You're Tiny, a deck where I'm running Temur colors precisely so that I can run all the hydras and also Vorel of the Hull Clade. What it lacks in being an actually good deck it makes up in being cheap and also silly.
Some of the Commander Decks I have: Not Creature? THEN DIE!, For Whom the Wolf Howls, A Growth Market, Samurai Local #42, Better Homes and Bargains.

Explosive! I love it. I'd be tempted to make it more aggressive with mainboard Pillar and Vortex, also Spellshock and Flame Rift.
It's the only kind of deck that my tiny work-in-progress has real issues with. Suggestions welcome: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/maralen-discard/
Dark Ritual is so at home here, it makes the evil spot in my brain tingle.

Re: Tiny Leaders
I think 17 lands is good for a dumb hyper-aggro mono-colored deck like my Zurgo RDW, but I really think most decks should be have 1 or 2 more lands.
Re: Tiny Leaders
That's pretty much what I found in the first few matches with it. It's currently being tinkered with.
I'm adding at least 4 DTK cards plus a couple more burn spells.
Athreos is definitely coming out, need to figure out what else.
****Edit****
I've now updated the list: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/17-02-15 ... iny-horde/
I think I may yet take out Spear of Heliod and maindeck Lightning Helix.

Re: Tiny Leaders
Played my mono black aggro/discard deck against a Vendilion Clique TL deck last week. Got wrecked. Isochron Scepter with Cyclonic Rift imprinted on it is really strong and Vedalken Shackles are a bit overpowered in this format if you ask me.

Re: Tiny Leaders
So how are people finding tiny leaders? i wouldn't mind playing it but it's popularity flashed out pretty fast in my area.
Re: Tiny Leaders
I've had some early success with my tiny leaders deck. Even without some fantastic DTK cards it performs well (so far)
Introducing 1/1's everywhere http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/11s-everywhere/
It's fun when you get an abzan acendancy on the board with Atheros, trading your dudes, generating a 1/1 saproling or 1/1 spirit with flying and then either having your opponent opt for 3 life lost or getting your dude back to your hand. SO much fun
Also Spirit Bonds is cost effective in the deck

That looks a lot of fun. You definitely need to secure some wastes though.

Agreed, I hope to be picking one of those up soon.

Re: Tiny Leaders
When I was listening to the LRR podcast about this format, my first thought was ATHREOS. So I built this deck:

No one where I live plays this format, so I never got to actually play it. Deckbuilding for it is really fun though

Re: Tiny Leaders
I might have already written up a list for Liliana, Heretical Healer. Sadly, TappedOut won't let me use cards from Magic Origins.
I am a true Johnny who just loves to brew up decks. (He says, with his list being focused on Rack effects.)

My Maralen deck could use a few more Rack effects, what have you got in there?
Also I finally caved and made an all-creature soldier/warrior tribal Alesha deck. I usually love to make unusual homebrews, but sometimes you just want to turn lots of guys sideways.

Black Cat is in there! Black Cat is my absolute-favourite-card-for-no-logical-reason, always try to put him in decks wherever possible.
Also yeah, in terms of total time spent on magic - I'd say more than half of mine is deckbuilding.
Re: Tiny Leaders
I think my TL deck with Alesha is finished, except for the mana base, fetches are expensive! Anyways here's the link: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/20-02-15-alesha-who-smiles-at-combos/.
It really needs a better name....

My Alesha manabase is just a random pile at the moment.

I am a monster, so I built Naya Melira Pod with Marath. I don't own most of the cards in this deck, but I'm about to proxy it up and it seems really sweet.

Re: Tiny Leaders
I was about to say, "Birthing Pod isn't legal in Tiny Leaders". But it's more Podless Pod with a combo kill, I guess.
Re: Tiny Leaders
Yeah, It just runs lots of tutors instead of pod, should still get there though.

Re: Tiny Leaders
After seeing some people play TL at the LGS yesterday I finally put together a decent deck instead of my "placeholder" Kiku, Night's Flower and Tuk-Tuk the Explorer decks.
I build an Anafenza deck, since I had a lot of good cards in these colors and a good manabase for it. The list looks like this
Still need to pickup couple cards like Verdant Catacombs or Stoneforge Mystic, but I think the deck looks alright as it is now.

Re: Tiny Leaders
The first thing I thought of when i heard about tiny leaders was Alesha who smiles at death. I tried to play around with the human warrior theme and filling my graveyard to fuel Alesha. Havent had a chance to play it yet though http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/alesha-who-reanimates-warriors/
