Re: Standard Pauper Rotisserie Draft - Who's In?
I think that might be fine, Sandringham? Just have MtGO ready, and join the Challonge bracket.
Look like we have our 8. Just need to add people to be able to edit the Spreadsheet. Just click the little "Request access" link under the share button, and PM me whatever details you want so that I can confirm that it's you.

I like XMage. But I don't know if we're actually getting the server needed for it. MtGO is a sure thing. If we do get the server, then sure. XMage seems better.
Re: Standard Pauper Rotisserie Draft - Who's In?
I'll see what I can do about xmage, I can't do mtgo

Re: Standard Pauper Rotisserie Draft - Who's In?
I don't know a thing about xmage, and it seems like the server thing could present a real issue. Is there an alternate program we could use, or is it limited just to XMage and MTGO?

Cockatrice or Untapped

Re: Standard Pauper Rotisserie Draft - Who's In?
I just went with those due to the automatic rules enforcement and the fact that you don't need to do anything special for private games. Untap.in requires you to donate for that, and that's not something everyone has the option for. Maybe Cockatrice, but I think that has the same issues.
Re: Standard Pauper Rotisserie Draft - Who's In?
Cockatrice doesn't have a pay wall, but there is no auto rule enforcement. I don't see that as being a big deal, friendly games and people communicate misunderstandings, there wouldn't need to be an active judge.

Re: Standard Pauper Rotisserie Draft - Who's In?
Given that I draft a lot on MODO, I likely have a copy of most, if not all, Standard-legal commons, which I can give to people if they need a copy. This would be the path of least resistance for me, but I'm willing to use a different platform if other people would prefer.

I don't own a mtgo, nor do I want to pay for the service

Re: Standard Pauper Rotisserie Draft - Who's In?
MTGO probably works best for me, especially given Steric Hinderance's very kind offer seeing as I've never really used any of the other programmes
Re: Standard Pauper Rotisserie Draft - Who's In?
I used cockatrice before, it's really clunky. replying to triggers isn't possible so you have to interrupt your opponent before they give you more information.
I'd really prefer a different client. Mtgo is easy to use, but the paywall upfront will be an issue for those not already into it.

Re: Standard Pauper Rotisserie Draft - Who's In?
I personally would prefer mtgo, but I'm willing to try out other things if my opponent for a given round doesn't have it. I don't think we need to mandate a single client for the whole tournament as long as the two players in any given match are able to come to an agreement on what to play with for that match...

Re: Standard Pauper Rotisserie Draft - Who's In?
That sounds like a good compromise, and I'm willing to play cockatrice + skype so that people can interrupt and talk as if it was paper
Also I just acquired a laptop that's now effectively a desktop, does anyone know the Sys Req for an xmage server? I can't find it.

Oh, another small reminder: if you do a Gatherer search for standard commons, it picks up cards that are in Standard and were ever common, not that were necessarily common in Standard... like Pyrotechnics and Arc Lightning, which were once common but are now uncommon, and thus aren't actually legal for this.
Keep that in mind when you're planning out your picks... I had Arc Lightning on my list of cards to watch for a while, until I noticed...
[edit] All of these cards were once Common, but are not in Standard Pauper, and will be false-positives in that Gatherer search:

Re: Standard Pauper Rotisserie Draft - Who's In?
I certainly wasn't planning on drafting Red and seeing if I could pull the wool over anyone's eyes. Honest.
(That statement is probably only half true.)

Wait... the names on the draft spreadsheet keep moving around? What's going on? Has the draft order been randomised properly yet?

Re: Standard Pauper Rotisserie Draft - Who's In?
Sorry. I didn't properly randomize before. Shuffled the seeding on the Challonge bracket, and moved things around to match that. Should've said something. My bad.

Hey, apparently I'm drawing a blank. How do I request access to the spreadsheet? I don't see anything under the share button...

Hit the Share button, and then in very tiny text in the bottom right of the popup is "Request Access". It took me a bit to find it...

Aha, I see now. It hadn't occurred to me to click the Share button, I thought I was missing something.
