So, I built some of the decks from Crapshots 249...

I have always enjoyed the challenge of building a new deck, so I challenged myself to build the jokes mentioned in LRR's Crapshots 249. As follows are the ones I was able to conceive:

Tepid CAW-Fee - A mashup of CAWblade and Death & Taxes. http://deckstats.net/decks/39739/303150-tepid-caw-fee

No-Land Scoop - A landless combo deck that aims to mill itself with Balustrade Spy or Undercity Informer, sacrificing your 4 narcomebas to Dread Return, reanimating Angel of Glory's Rise. This reanimates Azumi and Laboratory Maniac giving you the win. Sideboard changes it to a no-land belcher deck to make it less vulnerable to graveyard hate. http://deck.tk/11FL8jEB

Rats! Rats! Rats! - A really fragile, but explosive combo deck that wants to search for and ramp into Thrumming Stone and then cast Relentless Rats, which will likely dump enough rats on the battlefield to overwhelm your opponent. Sideboard allows for a slower, midrange deck if needed. http://deck.tk/3er15RSy

Liquid Swords - Jeskai Stoneblade Midrange deck. No sideboard yet, mind you. http://deck.tk/3RmE5iqp

Junderdome - Jund Midrange deck that plays strong value cards, including several that can't be countered, taking advantage of the blue-heavy metagame. Sideboard is your typical silver bullet approach. http://deckstats.net/decks/39739/303146-junderdome

4-Goyf - This version still runs 'Goyf. 4-colour Aether Vial deck that plays powerful 2-drops alongside a counter-top strategy to soft-lock the opponent and beat them down. Sideboard shores up bad matches. http://deck.tk/9rzR8dmn

Dragonbears - A deck that makes bear tokens, with the ability to close a game quickly with Dragonshift. No sideboard, since this deck barely makes sense as it is. http://deck.tk/9DqV2JDK

ConTRONbaline - Legacy Tron deck that wants to abuse big mana and Green Sun's Zenith to fetch one of several finishers from the deck. Still needs a sideboard, but without testing I don't really know how to approach it. http://deck.tk/5Ctf6WM7

Bob-in-a-Box - Underworld Dreams combo deck that abuses Teferi's Puzzlebox and other draw engines alongside a playset of Dark Confidants to close out the game. Sideboard transforms it into a harder control deck. http://deck.tk/0YUo9UvR

36 Chambers of Jeskai - Jeskai Tempo deck using Delver, Young Pyromancer, and Myth Realized as finishers. Sideboard transforms it into a miracles deck. http://deck.tk/7Map0zNN

"Goblins" (Mostly U/B Control) - A Grixis Control deck using Rabblemasters and Siege-Gang Commanders as finishers. Sideboard addresses weak matches. http://deck.tk/94hL5FAi

Thanks for entertaining my nonsense. I hope everyone enjoys these. Some of them might even make good decks!

I am impressed by the number of decks. Rats!Rats!Rats! seems cool, I guess the strategy is to mull for the right cards? I'm relatively new to magic so I'm not good at understanding a deck from its decklist yet.

Links have been updated. If any still give people trouble, let me know which ones!

Yeah, that deck is probably the weakest one on the list. It might still work well enough in casual games, though. You need either a thrumming stone or Lim-Dul's Vault in your opening hand. Power out your stone or EOT vault before your third turn while sandbagging rituals and sift until you find a thrumming stone. Don't worry about mulling for a rat since you will draw one, and with the stone out one is all you should need.

The best thing is how for like the first 20 seconds or so, those are all actually Legacy decks.
