I say, "I'd like to get settled in an inn first. Then, I'd like to find out if there are any doctors to tend to our wounds. Finally, I'd like to check out that dwarven club over there." I point to the squat building.

I head towards the nearest inn, saying I think it best that we secure a place to stay and get cleaned up a bit. I'll sort out some of the money to each of you, we can speak and make plans. I will go out and scout the town tonight.

Re: VOYAGER RPG: Game Thread
At Clive's instruction, the little group proceed towards the large inn on the corner. After paying the landlord, delivering your horse to the groom and checking out the rooms, you go down into the main hall. It's a large, open room, a large fire burning in a grate on the wall to the right of the stairs. Opposite the stairs is the bar, from where a grumpy-looking barman stares at you suspiciously whilst two humans and an elf sit slowly falling to sleep in the small puddle of ale in front of each of them. A short way along the bar, a third human with a magnificent brown beard sits nursing a large glass of something that looks as if a small dead animal had been mashed into liquid form. The rest of the room is filled with tables and chairs, and is sparsely populated; a well-dressed dwarven couple are eating by the fireplace, an elf sits in the opposite corner smoking a long pipe out the window and, a couple of tables along from the stairs, an orc sits nursing a flagon of something. The five of you pull up some chairs and gather round a table.

Re: VOYAGER RPG: Game Thread
I start whittling some dice and try to find parchment for some character sheets.
Seriously, though...
I get back up and limp over to either the barman or the landlord, whichever I can get the attention of quicker, and ask him if he knows where we could find a doctor near here, should we need one. (I try to make it clear that there is no immediate health concern, and am just looking for information.)

Y'know, I didn't even have to click on that...
The barman is closer, and as you walk up to him and proffer your request he fixes you with a beady glare, eyeing you up and down. "No doctors gonna be out now. Wait 'til morning, then head up the bazaar- there'll be pedlars." As you turn away, he rumbles "You gonna buy a drink then or whut?" gruffly at your retreating back.

Re: VOYAGER RPG: Game Thread
I turn back around, somewhat annoyed. "Yeeeeeessss... I'm just getting the drink orders of my companions, too, if that's OK with ye." I indicate with an open hand the table where my companions are seated.

Re: VOYAGER RPG: Game Thread
The nomad looks at you oddly as he wonders why your hands are attempting to impersonate a confused cuttlefish- clearly signalling 'whatever is strongest' is always going to come across strangely. He himself waves a hand, indicating that no drink is requested.

I mime taking a drink and then lighting a torch by my mouth and then a huge expolosion

I take a slow drink from my tankard, grimacing slightly from the unfamiliar taste of the cheap ale before casting an eye around the sparsely populated room. Slowly getting to my feat I call out to room in heavily accented Common (or whatever the language is)
"Friends, Comrades! How about a song to varm us on this cold night?"
OOC What gear/ money do I have (a pole arm would be nice)

Re: VOYAGER RPG: Game Thread
I smile at the Human who just replied, the act looking strange because of the two large almost tusk like teeth jutting from my lower jaw. I turn slowly to reach into a pile of cloth by my side. I'm wearing simple travellers clothes, mostly made of leather, with my arms bear showing a slight built (for an orc) frame. From the bottom of the pile I slowly and in the least threatening way I can, I draw a massive, wickedly hooked axe. Looking around at the now nervous looking audience I say reassuringly
"To keep time friends, to keep time"
I pensively stroke my braided beard before turning to the room and saying with more confidence
"We sing you song of our people, of cold nights and best way of staying varm, wodka vith family and brothers"
With that I start banging the pole end of my axe steadily on the table, in a steady measured beat and after a few moments start to sing
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpWYBx6Yjcg

The barman shouts "Ye drinks are ready, but this is ye last round if y'can't keep the bloody orc quiet"

I growl a few choice words in the direction of the barman before tentatively joining the group at the table.

The nomad glares at the Orc. "May we please speak alone? We have much that is important to discuss."
