I wasn't going to go any further until he responds, yeah.
Also, your sarcasm wounds me.

Sounds like a good idea.
If the scapegoat ever goes extinct, who are we going to blame?
Re: World of Darkness Play By Post: OOC Thread
This may be jumping the gun a bit, but it also might come up again so I'll ask anyway.
Even after my condition is resolved my attack still works out to be 0.
Str (2) + Weaponry (1) = 3 - 3 (his defense) = 0
How would this work out for my number of attacking dice? Would it be 1 die with a penalty to the roll or something?

It would be reduced to a chance die, yes. However, don't forget about Willpower! If you spend a point of Willpower, you get +3 dice.

Ok cool...which bring up another question...I've used up 2 of 5 of my willpower already..what happens if I use it all up?

Re: World of Darkness Play By Post: OOC Thread
Not much in gameplay terms. There are no dice penalties. But your character is exhausted and lethargic, and simply can't do things that require Willpower.
Fortunately, you can regain Willpower by roleplaying your Virtue and Vice, as well as getting a good night's sleep or meditating.

Re: World of Darkness Play By Post: OOC Thread
So, not my turn and Big Nate is not clever enough to try to solve this, but any ideas what red iron could refer to? I wonder if it's like thing he's weak to? My inclination would be either rusty metal or copper, but those don't seem like your usual sort of ghostly-weak points.
Re: World of Darkness Play By Post: OOC Thread
Actually I was thinking perhaps a little bit more obscure for "Dead Red Iron"
Blood is red because there is iron in it, and if we lose enough blood we become dead.
Perhaps if we smear our blood on our weapons that will work?
It a guess I know..but its the only thing I can think of that makes sense.
You might be right about the copper thing too..but where are we going to come up with something copper on such short notice? Unless there is some copper piping in the store somewhere? Although I'm pretty sure you mentioned looking for a piece of pipe to use as a weapon and we didn't find any while we were searching.
Edit for Pros Now that I think about it..am I allowed to change my post to reflect my trying the blood idea?

Re: World of Darkness Play By Post: OOC Thread
No, I don't think I can let you do that, sorry. However, you can communicate your idea to Big Nate and see if he wants to try. Talking doesn't take an action, remember.
As for not finding weapons, you'll recall that you didn't get enough successes on the search roll. That doesn't mean there isn't anything there. It just means you didn't find anything before Ghost-Man showed up.

Well it was worth asking. The worst you could say was no. I can live with that

Well, it's Big Nate's turn next, so maybe he can give the idea a shot.

Oh, I hadn't considered blood. That's a good idea, but definitely not one Big Nate will be able to come up with on his own.

Mark can't take another action until his next turn, but he can let Big Nate know about the idea. Talking is a free action.

I mentioned the blood thing to Nate right after I asked him if he knew what Dead Red Iron meant, I had a little inspiration.

Me again....with yet another question.
If I am active for another action (seeing as the big guy attacks before my next action) how much will I be allowed to do? Will I be able to cut my finger with my pocket knife, spread some on my wrench and attack all in the same turn? Or will
I have to break it up to cutting my finger and rubbing it on the wrench as one turn then attacking with it the next?

Re: World of Darkness Play By Post: OOC Thread
Yeah, I don't see why not.
However, just cutting your finger isn't going to be enough to coat your weapon in blood, if that is indeed what "dead red iron" is referring to. You'll have to slice your palm open, inflicting one point of lethal damage on yourself.
(By the way, I told Jam this but I forgot to tell you. It's been long enough that the bashing damage you two got by running into each other at the gas station has healed itself.)

"His fists seem to disappear, replaced by wedges of solid purple light. He takes a swing at Mark with this energy blade."
Lol I feel pretty stupid right about now....I totally misinterpreted the word blade and thought it was burn damage from light instead.
Its ok though...it I make it through this battle all the more practice at stitches for me.

Oh boy...here comes the teasing of the big tough football player who can't handle blood. Lol.
Hey Big Nate....how much for me not to mention it to Heidi and Webhead?

Re: World of Darkness Play By Post: OOC Thread
Prospero has asked me to convey his apologies, as life has gotten the better of him at the moment. He'll return as soon as he can, but the game will have to wait for a bit in the mean time.
Re: World of Darkness Play By Post: OOC Thread
Oh dang! Next time you are talking with him tell him I am hoping everything calms down as soon as possible. No problem on the waiting. I'll keep an eye on the games and be ready when things turn around and he can play again.

Don't call it a comb-back. I'll have hair for years.
Hi folks! Hopefully you're all still interested in our cross-country horror road trip. After some thought and consideration I've figured out how I can make this work, so I'm ready to go if you guys are.
Unfortunately, Jamfalcon appears to be on vacation at the moment, so we may have to wait until he gets back.

Definitely still up for this
