You know that you're Internet famous when you have your own URL shortener. (Yes, that's the first thing that came to mind when I saw this on Twitter.)
Also, I'm lucky when it came to air travel. Most stopovers I've made in one trip was on a trip to Australia. Newark to LA to New Zealand to Aussie-land proper.

Yeah international air travel! So much fun!

I can think of two reason why your bags where not checked through. Mostly likely it is a customs requirement. Usually you have to pick up your bags and then drop them off when first arrive in the country. I have had to do this most of the time I have caught domestic flights after flying internationally.

Or your airline(s) are cheep. Where you on the same airline all the way?

My favorite part of this vid was the cameo and then learning you played Magic against those guys. Who won and what kind of decks did you use?

I liked the way you told the travel story at the panel, with the bit about the faulty wiring on the plane.

Looking forward to more of these.

Just a little hint for any travel you guys need to do - avoid Chicago's o'hare airport if you can - 90% of the time some stupid delay will hit your plane.

It takes the same to fly from Victoria to Boston as it does from London to Orlando? I did not know this.

No, actually it's same camera we've been using for a while, but it's all in the lens. I was shooting the whole thing on a 50mm 1.4 prime lens, and it looks amazing.

Yeah, totally! Love how it all looks! Can't wait to see what else you guys shot at PAX. I have a Nikon D90 but it only does 720p - I'm thinking about selling it and getting something that can do 1080.

Well, now you know what we use!

The prime is a Nikon lens, btw. The guy at the camera shop recommended Nikon lenses for video, over Canon, because they're cheaper used. That 50mm f/1.4 cost me $90. The adapter to work with Canon was $8. Worth it.

Me recognizing these airports, and the exact locations therein, makes me realize how much I travel...

Awesome! Definately I'll have to look into that. So what's the camera body? (if you don't mind me asking?) Like a Canon Rebel or something?

I used to be (well, and sort of still am...) a wedding videographer, and we used Sony HDX-FX1000s. Great cameras, but kinda large and clunky, and not really great for casual/travel use. I'm looking for that kind of quality in a DSLR so I could travel with it and film some personal stuff but the 5D price tag is pretty out there!!

Thanks Graham :)

No no no, we use a 60D. It has a exact same video capabilities as the 5D, but it's way, waaaayyy cheaper because it's still image isn't as good. Darn?

We used to use the Rebel T2i, but the flip-out screen and manual levels make the 60D the way to go. It's about $1100 for the body. Woot!
