I agree, those Xrays looked a bit small for a human, so I'm going to guess that it's from a dog.

So Tim, what was more work: the move itself, or getting this video onto YouTube?

Also, whatever happened with Operation: Mark Moonbase Mk. III?

Oy vay, YouTube. That's all I can say.

I'm working on picking a winner for the Op., still. Very busy with school.

I hate to take all the fun out of it, but why not order some merch and just read the sender's address on the envelope?

Holy crap guys, very professional digs. I'm impressed.

Two questions:

1) what the eff was on Alex's head?
2) Where is DB going to happen? The meeting room or next to the ENN set?

A function generator is a device to generate repeating sequences of changing voltages. For example you can set it to output a sine-wave, or a triangular wave.

You can use it as a super cheap synthesizer for making wiered sounds. Just connect a loudspeaker to it.

1. Yes, the second two x-rays were human legs(unless there was a dog with a really messed up leg...); they looked like a kids' leg to me.

2. You guys look like you're a legit business now  It's actually sort of terrifying to me...I feel like this last move is what is going to solidify you into a money-making humor enterprise, a la Penny Arcade. It's totally irrational, but I just feel like LRR is going to be trying to reach a much larger audience now (well, sort of already started that what with Escapist and all), and that's going to take some of the original flavour out of the vids. Moving to Escapist didn't seem like that much of a jump; a lot of their fan base has similar tastes. But is it going to go any farther than that?

3. I <3 you, LRR. You make my week better!

Wow, last meal at that place from that other loading time? Are you sure they won't go under without your presence?

Edit: Also, the best time to find out you've got mice is when you're moving out.

Oh and man you guys are going BIG TIME! First a make up artist and now offices? In six years time you're gonna be your own channel!

Edit edit: What was moonbase 2 point 0 gonna be taken back over by? Also also Staceys Mom playing in the background. Classic!

Triple Edit: X-rays taken on a linear accelerator simulator or just a linear accelerator are kind of like a normal picture, in that they can be put on any size piece of film that you want so size isn't really an issue. Although that is a pretty small size to use as part of standard practice. Docs used to like much bigger but now its all on computer so X-ray films are actually dying out apart from old school docs who are too used to them.
Nothing to see here.

THANK YOU MATT. I'm sure most of the old-timers already knew that the LRR theme came form The Sporting News, but all of that was before my time.

Do you know what you guys made me do? Finally get off my ass and get a C64 emulator. I played some of Saliva Kid, and got TSN just to listen to the theme. Now I can feel all retro and whatnot, hooray. . .

Naw I don't mind. Half the reason I posted it.

The other half is because it's not my material. I shouldn't be the one who minds.

Ya, it basically makes waves on the screen of an oscilloscope, it was in one of our physics labs.
What the actual use of such a thing is other than pointless, boring labs, god only knows.
Take it apart, or even better MICROWAVE IT :O

I've used them for all kinds of various things. They're very useful for generating a nice clean signal to input to a modulator of some sort.

I remember using them the function generator in high school, playing with a speaker hooked up to it was really fun, you'd find the frequency that REALLY bothered people.

OK, so I'm not sure but I think the "Function Generator" is an amp. like the ones you find in school science labs. not sure though. :)

If anyone is interested in hearing it, I have the music from 'The Sporting News Baseball' from which the LRR theme originated. Link below:

Funnily enough, I was just reading this thread and decided to go YouTube hunting for this exact thing, and found your video. Before I had scrolled down to the end of the page and saw that you had posted it here. We apparently have perfect timing. So thanks for uploading this, it was really cool to hear. :D

Wow, that's weird, hearing a faster version of the LRR theme randomly juxtaposed into that baseball music.
Just call me Dylan. It's easier to pronounce.

That's WAY up-tempo from how it played on my Commodore64.
I think the emulator is speeding it up a lot.

What's funny is, when I messed with SID on my old compy, it wouldn't emulate the music the same, for the most part, but the tempo was closer to correct. My version of Metal Warrior 2 is pretty close to the original.

Edit: Someone has it on Youtube, too.

Edit 2: WATCH OUT, VOLUME JUMPS UP INEXPLICABLY 45 SECONDS IN.
