Episode 1!
Look for the next three episodes of this mini-series coming in the next several weeks.

(The HD version should be coming online soon)

I was beginning to think that this series was an elaborate hoax on us.

It was good, though. Pretty funny. Looking forward to more.

Gotta say, I wish my attempts to get people in magic went as smoothly as in this video.

I'm thinking that Phyrexian Juggernaut will turn out all right.
Also, finally! This was totally worth the wait, and now I want more.
I'm betting Paul turns out to be some sort of MtG super-genius too.

Cool! While it didn't have some of the punch of some of your other hustles if you consider that this is essentially a commercial/promotional video for a company its amazing.

And having worked at a camp and taught a lot of people how to play magic I can say from both direct and indirect experience that it is really easy to mess up. Unfortunately, with most 11 year olds "go read the rules and figure it out yourself" isn't really an option. And the worst thing to have happen is have one 11 year old be taught by another 11 year old who doesn't really know how to play either.

And at the camp me and another counselor demonstrated a "correct" game of magic in which we followed every rule to the letter and didn't do any short cuts to show them how many rules they don't actually have to know (Such as priority switching). 10 minutes in it was the end of his second turn and we decided to stop.

I found myself literally laughing out loud at this. I really liked "Derp Derp Derp I'm Alex Derp!"
I pretty much have no clue what to put here.

Also, this series seems freakin awesome! Can't wait for more episodes!

As a CompSci major, I couldn't help but laugh at Paul's reaction to "Let me teach you the stack!" Because that happened to me in reverse. Pushing and popping the stack? I've learned that from Magic!

Love it guys, so going to be showing it to all my Magic buddies when I can.
Funny: You guys got me into Magic, back during Inside the Moon, when Alex made his Domo monster card.
Now I love it, and I pretty much did exactly what Paul did, so I could really relate.

While I enjoyed the Magic references, especially the shuffling, I really liked the subtle references you put in, such as the "Creature - Human Hampire" (as well as the fact Paul was an Artificer), and the "A9" written on the white board during the commentary. I'm also quite pleased it was short enough to watch before you guys draft tonight.

They should make a whole deck in the style of Unhinged!

Loved the episode, the magic CH's are usually my favourite and now we have whole series. Excuse me I need to go errrm... express my happiness.
Magic Decks -
Standard Deck: just some random fail cards.
Modern Deck: 5 colors, because less than 5 is for wimps.

I'm like Paul at the beginning: all I hear is "Magic, Magic, Magic." But you guys made it funny. I'm still probably not going to get into Magic anytime soon, but I'll keep watching.

Even though most of them mean nothing to me (see previous "Magic" comments), I liked the custom cards (especially Jer as the human waterfowl). Did you make them?

Well worth the wait! It was entertaining and not too advertisy at all. I'm looking forward to seeing more!

So will it be weekly? And is it running for a specific number of episodes or indefinitely?

Oh gosh darn it. After watching you guys draft five or six times and hearing nothing but "Magic Magic Magic. Magic magic magic? Magic! Derp!" just like Paul, and since I didn't know what Friday Nights was going to be I was working on writing this exact script. XD Beaten to the punch, and this version was much better than anything I could have produced anyway.

Very nice. I'm looking forward to more of this.

Those custom cards are fantastic! I can't wait to find out if you made them yourself.

I was a little hesitant going in since I am one of the few humans left on Earth who doesn't play Magic, but I was really impressed. I found the skit funny and enjoyable despite the subject matter. It won't make me play Magic, but it will make me watch the rest of the series. Also, the epic shuffling was fantastic. Well done.

Dear Drs Lrr,

I had a really really crappy day of paperwork bull$#!7 today.

This episode made me smile. I cannot express how happy I am that this got delayed for fixes. I will admit I normally ignore the pread and stop it before the second ad. This time I not only let the after ad play I clicked it.

And im looking at the store, thats how much better your silliness made me feel.

I've been taught Magic, but I don't play except when friends with extra decks really want a game. I still found this extremely hilarious! Also, sharing with people because it is awesome. :D

I admit I haven't played any Magic since the nineties, but seeing you guys enjoying it so much is making me want to get back into it. I somewhat suspect the unopened boosters I have are probably no longer tournament legal though, and I gave all my other cards away before my wife went to college. I miss my Torreodore Assassin who could tap to kill any tapped creature...

I do have an almost complete set of the initial run of "Jyhad" somewhere though - and vast piles of Harry Potter game cards.

General thoughts:

1. I am so going to feel like a hipster now because I got the Hampire joke and am aware of how few people that watch this will understand it.

2. Wait, there's a system? I've just been taking a pack. Maybe that's why I've never opened a planeswalker, and have five Razor Boomerangs.

3. I distinctly recall the way I was taught how to play: a 3-player game I was in (given someone else's deck) where I voluntarily put my cards down on the table so I could be given advice, and an agreement by the other two to put the kid gloves on when it comes to interacting with me. It apparently works well enough because nine years later I'm watching this.

4. I really want to hear you guys do commentary on a real match, even though I usually find Magic match commentary profoundly dull.

5. I also want to see a prematch Haka.

6. This didn't really feel like a commercial at all, so good job there. It felt much more like the continuation of the "LRR crew plays Magic" series, where "It's Magic" was the pilot.

7. As far as not quite knowing how the rules work goes, I wasn't aware Regeneration causes your creature to become tapped and be removed from combat until I saw it spelled out on a card's reminder text.

Five years after I learned how to play.

Yeah.

8. All in all, a good video and a series I'm looking forward to, with at the moment no obvious flaws.

9. Even though the series is already in the can and thus this is impossible I still want to see Graham and/or James open up a draft pack which contains 14 Bumps in the Night (thirteen regular, one foil) and a Make a Wish.
