As some one studying to be a magic Rules Advisor, not even joking here, I would buy a thing of some one reading the whole rules book to listen to in my sleep, especially if it was read by a member of Loading Ready Run.

I think he'd get the opponent's decklist and then measure probabilities, factoring in their shuffling and his own cutting, to actually determine their most likely hands, Rain man style.

I can imagine the last conversation playing out pretty much the between an inmate at an asylum and a therapist (complete with the diagrams and equations on the white board).
He habitually wears an expression as if he had determined to drive his head through a brick wall, and was about to do it (Description of U.S. Grant)

I have known actual players to actually do this.

I pulled an Angelic Destiny in a booster recently, and I was like- "Snap! If only I played W decks..." If I would have known, Matt could've had mine! :(

WAYF wrote:Personally I find it a bit insulting when somebody says "GG" to me in real life.

That's ridiculous, considering typing GG is a matter of saving keydtrokes, but saying "GG" is the exact same number of syllables as "Good Game".

Speaking of which, I used to say "Congratulations" but Sean caught me saying it after I won a game and was all "you can't do that! If you win, you say 'good game'!"
So that's what I've been doing since. Although if you're worried about phrasing it the right way, I guess stop at just the handshake and say nothing? Might seem standoffish of course but at some point there is really no way not to be misinterpreted by anyone ever.

What I would give for that audiobook to exist.

would you give about a hundred hours of your time to read it? You can make it exist fairly easily. Unless, of course, you mean "as read by Paul Saunders of the Internet's LoadingReadyRun."

The problem of course is that the Comprehensive rules are updated at least 3 times a year, usually more ;)

that's the beauty of digital formats; you can do a diff search on the rules, and then update the appropriate audio files, without having to re-read the entire thing.
