Loved it. So happy to see it back and with the current MTG sets(great meta joke too). Can't wait to see where the series goes.

The real reason the deck is called "Eggs"

The current Modern "Eggs" deck is actually an updated version of an old Extended deck from 2006 named "Sunny Side Up".

The name eggs actually comes from the Odyssey egg cycle Darkwater Egg, Mossfire Egg, Shadowblood Egg, Skycloud Egg, and Sungrass Egg that were in the original version.

Coverage of the deck from Worlds 2006:

P.S was the on Graham's photo taken after attempts to fill Graham with cream?

(I didn't know whether to post here or on the blog post so i did both :) )

Loved the "pack wars" stinger.

Also, it was called "Sunny Side Up" not just because of the "Eggs" but also because of the name of the card, "Second Sunrise"

That broken "I have become the unwilling master of this format" just killed me. Great delivery, Graham!

I loved all of these actually :D found it hard to suppress a snigger when I saw Kathleen's basically just mills the opponent.
Is there any place to watch the full cards? I spotted some edges of flavour text and would love to know the full thing.

Cam's card, if I can make it out correctly, read:

Cameron Lauder 3 U/R U/R
Creature - Human ... Scout
U, T: Cameron Lauder counters target spell. He deals one damage to you and one damage to himself.
Draw a card.

Mara.

Is Kathleen's "GrindRouge" a joke that I am not aware of? Or is it spelled incorrectly?

Maybe the most naive question ever but is Pack Wars an actual thing and how do you play? :D

Also Graham's "HELP MEEEE" was perfect :D As was Alex's manic "And now we fight!"

Pack Wars is (apparently) a real thing.
You take 15 basic lands (three of each type) and mix them in with your booster's contents then start playing without knowing what you'll get.

Hilarious!

the blog post wrote:every time we put up a new episode, I’ll put up a new one of the cast cards.

So can we infer that there are 8 new episodes?

Also, I miss Matt.

I'm putting my money on 'on purpose'.

The word rogue is one of the most misspelled words on the internet, just go with it.

At first I didn't know what Alex was going to do, then UNHINGED.
And because by some quirk of fate I actually know what Unhinged is, I was like "YES!" :D

I love that Matt is OP and he didn't even know what his card was until this went up.

^ This was exactly my reaction as well :D And it was perfectly capped by Alex's "And now we fight!"

*deep breathe*

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!

I have absolutely loved every MTG video you guys have done. My wife fell in love with you guys off the Its Magic video. Heck, because she like that video she agreed to come to the Escapist Expo with me, which was awesomepants. She even got a card signed by Graham and Paul which is the only autographed thing either of us own.

So yea, really excited, want this to be a thing for always. Its also so great to have Alex back in videos because yay for Alex. AND NOW WE FIGHT

So the New Cards are...
Graham Stark 3/3 for (G)(G)(G)(G), Creature Human Ringleader
Graham Stark Enters the Battlefield with 3 +1/+1 Counters on him
(tap) Remove one +1/+1 counter from Graham Stark, finish target video
__________________

Paul Saunders 3/2 for (2)(U)(U)(U), Creature Human Scientist
(UU) Sacrifice two artifacts. You may return up to two artifacts from the graveyard to the battlefield.
(U) Flip a coin, if you win the coin toss put a +1/+1 counter on target artifact, if you lose the flip out a -1/-1 counter on target artifact.
___________________________

Kathleen De Vere 1/2 for (b/u)(b/u)(b/u) Creature Human GrindRouge
Islandwalk, Swampwalk
Whenever Kathleen De Vere deals combat damage to an opponent he or she puts the top three cards from his or her library into his or her graveyard.
__________________________

James Turner 3/1(maybe) for (3)(b)(b) Creature Human Logic Advisor
Lifelink Deathtouch
(tap) tap James Turner he deals X damage to Target Creature, where X is the number of dumb ideas your opponent has had today.
____________________________

Jeremy Petter (unknown) for (3)(w)Creature Human Duck Fancier
Flying, Haste
Whenever a duck enters the battlefield under your control untap Jeremy Petter.
________________________

Matt Wiggens 5/5(maybe) for (2)(r)(r)(r)(r) Creature Human Warrior Student
Flying, Trample
Matt Wiggens gains Vigilance Lifelink and Doublestrike if you are currently drinking a coffee.
_______________________

Alex Steacy 3/2 for (3)(r)(b) Creature Human Derpfolk Wizard
Whenever you play a sick combo, Alex Stacey gains +2/+2 and deathtouch until end of turn.
____________________________

Cameron Lauder 3/1 for (3)(r/u)(r/b) Creature Human Izzet Scout
(u), (tap) Cameron Lauder counters target spell, he does one damage to you and one damage to himself.

Draw a Card
______________________________

Graham is playable but you would never be able to use is remove a counter ability. 4 green for a 6/6.

Paul is playable and just Massively plain busted.
You can sack two artifacts and bring the same ones back into play, OR bring different ones.
You can flip a coin, if you win you can put a +1/+1 counter on your artifact, if you lose you can put a -1/-1 counter on someone elses artifact.

Kathleen is playable

James is ok but not great but his ability would never go off

Not sure about Jer, dont know what his p/t are his ability clearly cant happen since there are no ducks in MTG

Matts ability is un deck style so outside real rules, if he is a 5/5 he wouldnt be great but he would be good a 5/5 flying trample

Alex is really bad since his ability cant happen

Cam looks good and would be playable but with only 1 toughness unless you pump him somehow his ability kills him.

I loved the inclusion of Cam, not just because he's Cam, but that he fills the niche of "that guy who insists you can't just open a pack; you must draft." Sometimes you just want to open a pack. There's nothing wrong with that.

Also for some reason my favorite line was Alex's "ow" right after he sat back down and Jer was still comboing out. I don't know why, but it just seemed perfect.

In addition, given that I tend to watch your stuff on other sites it might just be YouTube being YouTube, but... do you usually get that much snippy negativity in the YouTube comments? It seems like every third comment was "This would be great if the acting didn't suck," which I'm just not seeing the rationale on. To be fair, you are acting exaggerated and "unrealistic" to a solid extent, but (especially considering that Friday Nights is a spinoff of cH) that's what you guys do. I'm not sure what they were expecting.

OMG Yes! So glad this is back! Now I want to play pack wars :)

Also I would completely play Kathleen and Paul in my decks, and with some tweeks most of the others as well. Someone tell Wizards to get on this and make these cards happen! Get Ken Steacy on the art!
