Friday Nights: Time Walking

Postby Graham » 08 Jun 2014, 20:23

Jer discovers the perils of his "Take Another Turn" deck while Alex plays his mono-black 100-card singleton deck, Graham drafts Theros block, and Kathleen works on the cube for her Lady Planeswalker Society.

Lol, I didn't expect the 3rd day routine. I immediately had flashes of The Couch when the first jump happened. Couldn't of been more excited!

I dub it, "Whatever-the-Closest-Thing-MtG-Has-to-a-Groundhog Day."

Extremely well-written and well-done.
It's not epic unless it's dactylic hexameter.

That's quite the consipicuous blank spot in the opening credits where Graham's card should be. Other than that, great little Groundhog Day-style vid!

As with those above, I loved the writing and execution of this episode. Had that sweet, sweet creepypasta vibe.

Time travel for as little as a few thousand dollars!

(But it only works in 100 card singleton…)
I sure enjoy watching LRR!

I wouldn't want to meet them though. I'm very allergic to cats and fun.

This episode is so goooood. I feel like I'm casting Time Walk again and again because I click the restart button again and again.

Did you watch Edge of Tomorrow before filming this? Because I *just* got home from seeing it and I'm having flashbacks, and I don't know when the visions will set in.

In other news - hilarious episode.

This is probably one of my favorite LRR-related productions of all time. I was doubled over for the last six minutes and laughed until I cried. The "screaming" loop was perfectly done, just perfect.
When the upkeep takes longer than the main phase, I know I've done my job well.

I think the only way I'd have laughed more would have been if Jer's or Alex's alarm tone was Sonny and Cher's 'I Got You Babe' (just once, though)

GROUNDHOG DAY!!
oh man so sick!

No wonder her got such a great deal on that Time Walk...

So what I love about this is that you guys actually went with the time loop thing...
When Graham said "high level" and then I saw the title "Time Walk" I was like ok they'll do a riff on it somehow.

Nope. whole hog. Awesome.
ARE YOU A WIZARD!!!

I loved this one. Goes right up there with my favourite things you guys have done with Quantum Documentary and A Stitch In Time...

...huh, apparently I like you guys messing around with the space-time continuum. Good to know.

That's what's so great about this sketch. and LRR mtg videos in general. They are super accessible to non mtg fans. :)
This is the comedy gold I'm use to from you guys. please please please make more like this.

I love the implication that Jer and Alex got through several turns of magic just continually shouting at eachother. Because that is totally a thing i can see happening.

Amazinng video. I loved the attention to detail as well, (Graham isn't outside the moonbase cuz he's still playing, rather than just saying he won while meeting Jer there)

In the end, all I cared about was that Graham finally took down that draft

Return to “MtG”
