General LRL Stream Feedback
Re: General LRL Stream Feedback
I'm probably being blind, but I can't see a Crossing the Streams thread - so I'll suggest here. Four player Spelunky would make for an amazing stream, I think.

Re: General LRL Stream Feedback
Possible solution for the music situation: could the crew commission Bradley to write a soundtrack for LRL?
Re: General LRL Stream Feedback
I've been meaning to talk to him about some of that.

Sadly, that's not a guarantee that you won't get F'ed with on Youtube.

Re: General LRL Stream Feedback
I think in a few weeks the dust will clear, and it will become apparent whether musician-approved broadcasts can be easily unflagged. I can admit, though, that right now it's tough.
Re: General LRL Stream Feedback
If it's original, there's no reason it would get flagged on YouTube...

Except if YouTube thinks its too good to be original work. It's happened to you and Bradley before.

That's a specific and uncommon occurrence.

Re: General LRL Stream Feedback
I'm more saying some unscrupulous company might claim that they made the music. I forget that company that claims a bunch of stuff they have only some mild rights to, or something, but it's come up before, right?
Re: General LRL Stream Feedback
No, we've had some random company saying they own someone else's music, but never ours.
Re: General LRL Stream Feedback
Is there a list somewhere where you can see what games that have been played and by whom?

LrrBot knows (almost?) all the games, if you type !stats on the chat, the list is there. It doesn't know who played what, however.

Re: General LRL Stream Feedback
Can anybody tell me the origins of the Leg Day and the "that fuppin guy" jokes? The things one misses on the replays...
It's all over but the crying. And the taxes.

Leg day is a general internet meme.

That fuppin guy is a joke sub that keeps popping up in different forms (That_fupping_guy, That_fuppin_guy_again and a couple others, I think). It started like 4 weeks ago? I'm pretty sure it was the the first time CP+ was just Graham while Kathleen was busy with things.

Re: General LRL Stream Feedback
Even the manual for Quest for Glory IV stressed the importance of not skipping leg day.

Re: General LRL Stream Feedback
Not sure if it has already been mentioned but 2 videos on youtube have been set to not viewable on mobile platforms. Grahams Viscera Cleanup detail vid and Alexs Stalker Misery vid.
If it is easily fixable Id love if we could get those changed. The reason I dont watch the VODs on Twitch is because I am using my phone for internet at the moment.

You're all horrible people, you LRR streamers, you!
Curse you Paul, for getting me to buy Creeperworld, enjoying it and making me now want to buy the whole series.
Curse you Cameron, for giving me tactics that can be used in XCOM Classic difficulty to win battles and for getting me to purchase Enemy Within.
Curse you Kathleen, for getting me into Persona 4 and having no idea how I'm ever going to finish that marvelous game in this lifetime.
Curse you Alex, for making me dust of STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl and giving it one last shot and actually liking it because your stream taught me how the game works.
Curse you Adam, for causing me to buy Dragon's Dogma and embarking on an adventure of, what feels like, epic proportions.
Curse you Graham, for making me consider doing another playthrough of the masterpiece that is Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
Curse you James, for putting Divinity: Original Sin on my radar and making me look for friends to play it in co-op with.
Curse you all, curse you all to hell you magnificent bastards!

Re: General LRL Stream Feedback
I was watching the playback of Cam's latest stream (A Swiftly Tilting Cameron || WoW with a chance of XCOM), and it seems that twitch has eaten the last three 30 minute segments, stopping the playback at 2:22:31 and giving me the message "We could not find the video file for this quality." Is there anything you guys can do from your end or has twitch gotten hungry again?
The slightly silly part is that it ends on a cliffhanger where he misses a semi-important shot and says "uh-oh."

So... Are subscriber give-aways still a thing? I don't remember one happening in several months.

Re: General LRL Stream Feedback
I think it's partly because we haven't had a group stream since... well, technically Alex, Beej, and Heather playing games. But as a 'main' group since the Conspiracy draft. And that seems to be when they actually do the giveaways.
