I find consistant buffering makes me stop watching.

I'd rather have lower quality than high quality that infuriates me.

Having not-great internet connections I'm used to watching cheese-vision, so for what it's worth the better bitrate is my vote.

I too would prefer a higher bitrate. Constant buffering pisses me off and makes me give up watching.

The only time I think resolution really matters to me is either if it gets really bad (like 240p or less) or during Magic streams when we need to LOOKATTHECARDS.

I see there's some confusion here.

The bitrate that causes buffering and such is all on Twitch's end. If it's chundering and buffering and stuttering, that actually isn't to do with what we're sending. That's either your computer/connection not being able to handle it, or Twitch not sending the right quality.

I was talking more for people who are able to watch on a higher quality.

I normally check the twitch page for the schedule... but the page that used to have all the links http://www.twitch.tv/loadingreadyrun doesn't anymore.

I haven't been able to find any links to the schedule on loadingreadyrun.com either...

So for feedback... please have a loadingreadylive tab on the main page with things like the schedule and fix the twitch page to have the link to the schedule again.

EDIT! If your browser is too thin... all the stuff beneath the video overlaps on top of each other... and thus hides everything... So other than that happening there is nothing wrong with the twitch page.

but the other part of my post is still valid. I could not find any link to http://loadingreadyrun.com/live from the http://loadingreadyrun.com page. the only link to it I've found is on the twitch page.

Seriously though, while I'd LIKE to just go over to yt/loadingreadylive and catch up on everything there, twitch does an adequate job archiving the streams - it's not the most user-friendly interface (but then, what do you expect? twitch is all about LIVE streams - the archives are a bonus ;) ), and the half-hour 'blips' sometimes make me sad about missing some comment, but I'm managing just fine with that.

(In all honesty, I just can't keep up with all this goodness y'all are giving us, AND manage to pay rent, utilities, food and internet. As a result, I'm having to watch archived streams. C'est la vie :) )

Uh... Why is everyone having trouble seeing the "Click here to see the LoadingReadyLive Broadcast Schedule!" banner between the rotating video banner and the blog on the front page?

I'm sure the Desert Bus Video Strike Team could be called up as well.

I've scrolled past it a couple of times looking for it, even after I've used it before. It blends in a bit with the blog and looks like another header. Possibly add its own border to make it stand out a bit more?

It had disappeared from the front page a while ago, but now that its back again.

I do agree that a "live" button either in the side banner or top banner may be a good improvement

I've noticed that there isn't the big live notification in the side bar when a stream is actually going, like there was at the start.

I'm confused.

The link under the mainpage carousel that says "Click here for our live schedule" has been there since that page went live, and it has never "gone away and come back", nor has the link at the top of the sidebar.

In fact, the sidebar link has been there for MONTHS. It takes about 10 minutes from when a stream goes live before it appears, but it's always been there.

Please explain clearly what the issue is. I'm lost.

I'm watching Cam play XCOM, but there's no sidebar link showing for me.

EDIT: I've checked other browsers. The sidebar link shows up in IE, but not in Firefox or Chrome (on Windows 7). Checking the page source, the <div> containing the stream alert isn't there in Firefox.

It works for me in every browser I have access to (which is a lot of them, since I do web dev for work).

Do you have adblock enabled? If I turn adblock on it stops the "we're live now" box from appearing... it looks like that part of the page is a re-purposed ad section.

...That would explain it. I thought I had Adblock disabled on LRR (I know I have it disabled on Twitch).

If you are running AdBlock, it may be killing the window that appears when a feed is live. I disabled it on the LRR main page and lo and behold... the sidebar link appeared.

Why this didn't post earlier, I have no idea.

OK, so my Twitch Chat mod abilities are weird right now.

I can Time someone out by opening up the viewer list highlighting them and then clicking the button that appears. I can Ban someone by /ban and unban with /unban. I cant ban with the viewer list, and I cant time out with /timeout name

And The buttons that appear next to the names, I cant click them.

ALSO LRRbot seems unresponsive sometimes, I dont know whats up Im sure sometimes Im inputting the wrong command, but I noticed even DIX was having trouble tonight. Is there a full list of commands I could get so that I can cut and paste rather than trying to type them all the time and them not working?

If you type "!help" you should be presented with a list of available commands.

I'm hoping to get LRRBot 2.0 up and running soon, but there's still one or two minor things to hammer out before it's ready for primetime, and it also depends on d3fr0st and myself being able to organise the handoff, which is complicated by timezones and the like. It will happen, though.

And copyright strike on Cam's Youtube replay. Ugh, I'm starting to see why you guys didn't automatically wanted to upload the videos. (thanks for the responding about it btw, Graham).

Isn't this the second strike and doesn't this put you guys in the "danger zone" with that channel?

From Youtube's policy page:
"Copyright strikes are often confused with Content ID matches, which can result in a video being blocked. They are not the same."
Content ID matches sometimes result in the video being blocked or muted, and that's what's happened here.

Oh, good. I see you've started uploading again. I was worried what with your fight over 2013 and Kathleen and a few other people playing music in their streams you'd given up on YouTube.

Outsource it to China? Kidnap someone and make them do it? Pay an arts student in ramen?
