Kathleen Saves the World
JRPGs are usually awful. But sometimes they are… less bad, and once in a while, there is one that is actually excellent. Wherever a JRPG falls on Kathleen’s proprietary quality scale (from “this is an abomination unto gaming” or “I will prod you with a stick until you put it in your eyes”), she loves these turn-based delights with a fervor that verges on addiction. Join her as she plays and discusses JRPGs new and old, everything from Shin Megami Tensei to Final Fantasy.

Re: Kathleen Saves the World
I'd like to say that it's nice to see Kathleen doing extra streams. Given her games are likely going to be the longest among anyone's streams, I think it helps having extra time being put into them.

I'm really enjoying Kathleen's supermegabonus surprise streams, even if they do totally ruin my day.

This is an ideal LP; someone interesting and entertaining playing a game I'm interested in, but would probably never play myself.

Is there going to be trouble with copyrighted musics and the youtube repost/archive?
I can see part 2, but there's a comment on it by someone else that says it's blocked.
Part 3 seems to be missing.

Yeah, I've been worried about Content ID as well, since it has been hitting a lot of Let's Play people, and Kathleen plays her own music during her streams. As far as I know, LRR aren't part of an affiliate network, which honestly may be a good thing, as I've seen some people trumpeting the fact they are part of Maker or Polaris, and thus are audited by the network and not contentID, but those are the guys in this article: http://www.laweekly.com/2013-01-10/news/machinima-maker-studios-YouTube/

Re: Kathleen Saves the World
I have just spend the day watching the 11-12 hours of Kathleen saves the World to catch up, i like the fact on how different it was from when she is alone or she is with one of the co-hosts.
I also like the fact that they all react really funny when they first experience the game and the weird plot especially Alex

I'll admit, I haven't (yet) watched many of these, but I like how anecdotal Kathleen gets, it's a nice change of pace from the focus the lads usually put in.

I must confess... I love watching Kathleen, but I find Nocturne to be one of the most boring affairs ever. Maybe I'll watch a future one, but definitely not this one.

Man, I am behind if she finished her massively long JRPG already.

Kathleen, thanks for suffering through FFFFXXIIIIII-33!! It was very entertaining to watch.
Also, at the end of launch day, a common opinion seems to be that the combat is balls hard and playing on easy is highly recommended for first playthrough.

Catching up on the streams, I started watching the FF13-3 archive today. Twitch ad before the video was suggesting that I preorder FF13-3. That seems... unlikely to happen.

Re: Kathleen Saves the World
So. Atelier Escha & Logy, the next of the Atelier games, is released the eleventh of March in North America. And I realize how it's more the Graham and Paul tandem that seem to have a... Let's say relationship, with the games? At least, their intro cutscenes.
But, it's a JRPG, and I actually like the series, and from what I heard based on the japanese version and localisation plans it's apparently really pretty good. So, are there plans to play that game, if only in a one stream dip like Lightning Returns?
The fact it's the second one in that story might be a small issue though.

Re: Kathleen Saves the World
So how far did the stream get in FF13-3? Only because I'm playing catchup on streams, and periodically playing through the game while not wanting to be spoiled on anything. Even posting this I'm wondering if there's a way to even answer that spoiler-free.

Re: Kathleen Saves the World
I just realised something. In Nocturne, the game starts with the world ending and in FFXIII-III the world is going to end no matter what.

Finally got to be able to hear my subscriber commercial (buffer made me miss it and could only sit down to the replay after work). Feel like I should ask, who's Winona Rider?

Winona Ryder is an actress. She appeared in some Tim Burton films and was kinda infamous for a shoplifting scandal at one point.

She was steady with Johnny Depp for a while, to the point where he got a tattoo that said "Winona Forever"...

Never tattoo someone's name who you personally know on your body. Who knows what future might bring.
