A soundboard for hilarious noises to make? Could be good, as long as it's not overused. Either that, or I am missing the point entirely.

My thoughts exactly. Don't know if it's needed, but if you think it'll be fun, no harm in trying it out to see how it goes.

You know, I just realized... the Heart in Dishonored very much resembles the FPS mod from this old XKCD comic, except the heart says bad things as well

Y'know...the similarity is really striking - I wonder if one (or more) of the devs are regular xkcd readers and that comic INSPIRED them to add that feature to The Heart (or rather, it inspired the SAD tone of all the 'bio-bites' ;) )

Given any thought to playing Painkiller? Though I suppose Bulletstorm could be considered a semi-sequel to that.

Painkiller is one of my all time faves, but I think it would be a miserable game to stream. Literally all you do is jump and shoot in an arena, and there's only so much material one can make up for that.

Wow...if anyone ever wants to know why 'shovelware' is bad, I'll just point them to the original DS version of Dementium II, and then the shitty PC port...

Wow.

I mean Prayer Warriors was bad - it was so astoundingly bad in all design aspects (apart from soundtrack, strangely), that it was almost like Plan 9 From Outer Space or The Room - it became funny and entertaining by how WRONG it was. :)

...this didn't get that far; this was just shoddy and blandtastic. :(

Thank you, Alex - for playing this game so that we will never have to. :D

How...I can't even...how do you port a game from the DS to the PC? Is that a thing that happens a lot?

No. I wonder why.

Even leaving aside how wretched the visuals and voice acting were, That game just does not succeed at whatever tone they were trying to achieve.

What's scary? A hell-hospital from which you can't manage to escape? Great, let's add enemies that teleport you to another dimension for self-contained, repetitive arena fights, pulling you completely out of that setting.

Okay, after experienceing more of this "Let's WAT" title Dementium II, and seeing all the horrid lack of caring on the part of the shovelware convert -DS-to-PC team, I think Alex might just be interested in Afterfall InSanity.

That title has much the same inconsistent gameplay (badly designed combat), muddled and unfinished and 'let's take ALL the different concepts we had for the story and MASH THEM ALL TOGETHER without resolving ANY OF THEM'...

...but the level design and the artwork is GORGEOUS.

This word "shovelware" is what bugs me here. One assumes that porting a game from the DS, one of the most proprietary and difficult-to-develop-for systems that Nintendo has ever made, to the PC, something with WILDLY different architecture, is not the easiest thing in the world. What was the goal here? It boggles the mind!

As I said in the chat, Prayer Warriors may be "The Room" of video games, but this is the "Star Wars Holiday Special".

Yep: If video games are fruit; "Dementium II" is a rotten melon...but "Prayer Warriors" is a damn TENNIS BALL.

If Dishonored is East, then Dementium II is West. And Prayer Warrior is Potato

Gentlemen, ladies, I know what IDDQDerp game shall be played next.

FROG FRACTIONS.

This game makes Prayer Warriors seem like the product of an entirely sane mind. (plus it's free to play, online and generally insane)
