The Book of Passwords

Postby Paul » 12 Jan 2014, 14:03

When Jer was a kid, he wasn't allowed to have an NES. Instead, he had to go over to friends' houses to get his game fix. Gaming was social, full of controller-passing, catridge-cleaning and password scrawling. Join Jer—and a rotating co-host—every week as they dig up, play and reminisce about their favourite games of all time.

For the "flak" discussion in the most recent BoP:

Alex, you say it like this:

Flea Grrr Ab Verr Can Own

"Verr" should rhyme with "where"

Watching BoP:Metroid archivestream now. What the the mapmaker's prize turn out to be?
The mystery is making me feel like starting it over and stitching screenshots, even though it's from almost a month ago and the prize must have been given away by now?

Oh, I just noticed where usually there is greenscreened in some game-appropriate image on the facecam, it is instead a game-appropriate featureless black background.

The prize was some of the old Nintendo trading cards with games and stuff on them.

I'm pretty sure Jer still has a ton of them if you want to try the prize late.

I only realised tonight how much I want to see Jer slam original Doom from start to finish.

This is a thing I now need in my life.

Yes! That would be awesome.

I kinda want to see Jer play more Castlevania games, it's nice to watch fellow castlevania fans play them and get their opinion of them.

No one's highlighted it yet, though I wish they would. It'll be gone in two months if they don't.

I'm catching up with the Actraiser replay now. I adore this game and it's a lot of fun watching Jer play it. It made me think of the Yoot Tower stream Beej did a little bit, and then I realized I would love to see a Jer+Beej crossover stream in which they play something along these lines, city-building or tower-building or what have you. Mostly because this kind of game is something that both of them seem to really genuinely enjoy.
When the upkeep takes longer than the main phase, I know I've done my job well.
