So I did end up creating a test form (and here is the link to muck around with it).

The form then exports to this spreadsheet for viewing, where those with edit writes can make changes, and everyone else can only view (though the above links are free for anyone to edit). You should be able to add additional tabs to the sheet and all that.

I made one edit to the form; I added the "Appearance" option from the original spreadsheet.

Edit: It seems to have broken the formatting a bit by replacing the "Used" column. I thought it would insert a new column, rather than repurpose an existing one.

I guess the Form wouldn't be aware of any custom columns/changes we made, and thus overwrite them. Fortunately there's an easy solution. I added a second sheet where each column is just a reference to a column on the other sheet. This we can modify/format all we want, and the changing the form won't overwrite anything - we can just update the formulas at our leisure.

...and Cam shows that "A Swiftly Tilting Cameron" means he will make his opponent tilt...in this case, X-COM will just crash to fucking desktop rather than give him his deserved cheevo!

"Wow, I never realized this is what they meant by 'Impossible'; I guess it IS then." :D

I'm tempted to get a copy of the twitch footage and email it to Sid & Brian for the humour factor. ;)

So, Cameron is asking what game we'd like to see him play.

I propose that the community get together and find someone with a copy of FTL they can donate to him. It'd be interesting to get him on a strategy game that he hasn't played before. All those in favor?

Failing that, Civ 5 is nicely streamable.

I like the FTL idea.

Otherwise Deus Ex: Human Revolution has my vote.

My vote is, if not right away, then at some point, do the special missions on XCOM (not necessarily on Impossible Ironman), and use different subscriber soldiers for each mission to try and make a dent in the XCam list for people who didn't get used.

I'll straight up buy him a copy of FTL. I mean, even if he doesn't play it on stream.

I would like to request at least one more stream of XCOM mostly because I subbed this weekend and would very much like to be a soldier in the game before that's off the table.

Also, Minecraft makes me rather motion-sick so I'd rather not that.

I'd prefer Civ 5 to FTL, if only because "Crushingly difficult game with lots of restarts and permadeath" has already been done. At least Civ is a more long-term affair.

I'm also putting my vote in for FTL.

You can even continue naming the ship & crew after subscribers. It's a great game to watch.

One suggestion I made in the chat once: the crew should play a game of Dominions 3 together. Each of them streaming their plans (and, of course, showing us the hilarity when said plans come in contact with the enemy.)

For single-player: I'm open to anything, as long as it can go wrong in all sorts of horrible ways. FTL would probably work fine for a stream or two while Cam decides on what to do next.

I would be up for most anything Cam plays. FTL and Civ 5 are both good ideas. I would love to see Cam play Dark Souls though.

I'll add another vote for Civilization V.

I'm gonna put in my vote for FTL. We've seen what Cam is like playing a game he already knows, but now let's see how he does in a game he's never played.

I really want to see Cam play... or try to play Kerbal Space Program.

It's a sandbox... but those who aren't orbital mechanics nerds and aren't flight sim nerds tend to find it hilariously difficult. Many many explosions will be had by all.

I'd even be willing to buy it for him or any of the LRR crew so I could see you all playing it.

Edit to add: from the above posts some other options were suggested. of those I'd want to see FTL.

I like the idea of doing a bit of FTL, both to get through the remaining soldierlist and see Cam tackle something new.

Failing that, my vote goes to Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Get the Director's Cut version though, it makes the bossfights not terrible.

Dark Souls 2 would be cool once it comes out. Don't bother with DS1, unless you want to play it on console: the PC port was pretty poopy if I remember correctly.

And Cam, you're not dumb. Don't tell yourself that.

Once again, if Cam wants to play anything. I WILL fund it. It could even be Steel Battalion.

You guys... FTL is going to be coming out with an Advanced Edition DLC for free with a HARD MODE(in case regular FTL wasn't frustrating enough).

We need to get Cam on this.

I seem to recall Cameron saying he was interested in playing the new Thief game. It releases before his stream next week, and I certainly would be interested in seeing that. I also have a pre-order to donate. However, I understand that there are those who would rather not have it spoiled. If that puts it out of contention, Deus Ex and FTL are both solid choices.

If you have a controller and install a couple straight-forward mods, it's fine. Though I guess having those requirements would qualify it as poopy. I would really like to see that, but I don't know if it's really up Cam's alley.

In a fit of curiosity... there have been a number of comments in the chat thinking that maybe XCOM's RNG is broken, that you miss more often than the game claims you should. I suspected that these were mostly confirmation bias... the misses stand out more in your memory than the hits.

So, in the name of rigor, I watched the latest stream and noted down every time Cam took a shot, noting down the quoted hit percentage rate and whether it actually hit, and found... it's actually fair (raw data). I don't know enough stats to add proper error bars to that, but I suspect they would contain that the "expected" line.

XCOM may do many dirty things on Impossible, but one of those isn't to lie about the to-hit chances.

FTL would be amazing for a one-stream palette-cleanser before something else. I find it really entertaining to watch other people play it, especially if Cam isn't familiar with it at the start.

For more long-term investment, Civ V or Alpha Centauri would both be delightful.

One day we should go back to XCom, if for no other reason than the XCam list, but taking a few weeks to do something else sounds like fun.

From what I have heard of it, the RNG works as it should, but it is actually that the correct hit percentages are not always displayed on impossible, the actual hit chance is lower than what is displayed to the player. - Cam has said same on stream, but there doesn't seem to be a confirmed official source for where this information came from.

Random trivia on confirmation bias, a developer once noted that when faced with odds of 2:1 and 20:10, players reacted much more negatively to failure on the 20:10 odds, even though they are mathemically identical.
