Re: Watch + Play
I'd love to see them play "7th Guest". It wasn't a bad game for its time, but now the FMV sequences are *so* hokey- and at the same time, even though I played it long after it came out, some parts of it are still vaguely unsettling and horrifying (in a good way).
Also, get lost in the basement maze. Stauf's "Feeling… LONELY?" may make Alex tilt.

I never thought we could come close to the pure and unadulterated madness that was Prayer Warriors.

I can't...I just...you broke me with this one, guys.
It's all over but the crying. And the taxes.

I think I'm going to start putting money aside every month.
A little bit each month. As much as I can afford.
And come November, I am going to take all the money set aside, and pledge it towards having Alex and Graham recreate the Zoo Race cinematic.
Yes, I think that's what I'll do.

I hate to say it, but the NyQuil caused me to fall asleep during YouTestament...I'll have to go take a look at the rest of the stream later.
But yeah...Graham just BROKE at one point! (and yes, it made a teetotaler take to the most alcoholic thing in the house)

I stayed up so late for this insanity. I almost broke my GIF button. It was utterly insane and totally worth it. I feel like this is the only way to sum it all up:
As much as I *love* watching Alex lose his mind, Graham's reactions were amazing.

I think this kind of fits everyone watching's reactions to. Either they're like Matt, and just kind of laughing at how stupid this whole thing is. Cracking up at the... sudden turn of events like Graham. Just lrrEFFing losing it like Alex. Or horrified like Cam was.

IS BEAR GO TO MOON?
And finally, watch as Cam BSODs in real time:

I thank Graham and Alex (and guest Matt and Cameron) for their sacrifice. Zoo Race was What Watch+Play at its finest.
I don't know of any games that can compare but I hope others keep dredging the bottom of the barrel for more like this.

Re: Watch + Play
I also suggested The You Testament as a Watch and Play a while back on twitter, based on my experiences attempting to reverse-engineer the game for a friend who was attempting to speedrun it.
The game was written in Blitz3D (a sort of DirectX based beginner's middleware language), which I know, and when he started running this game I found the developer put the source code online - so I started digging around in the code to find anything that could be exploited.
The code is, perhaps unsurprisingly, a complete mess - loops upon loops of checking global values with incomprehensible names - the hacked together mess of several of MDickie's previous games (including, as Graham mentioned, a wrestling game).
Some interesting things I found:
* There are values for all items that determine what they increase if eaten, e.g. meat or fish do +200 health, +100 mind and -100 soul, whereas fruit or bread do +125 heath, +50 mind and nothing to soul. Bizarrely, there also appears to be 'eaten' values for tools, weapons and money! (gives you +100 heath, +50 mind and -100 soul, if you were wondering)
* The fastest way to the end (or an end, apparently there are several), involves learning to meditate, then get arrested (but not for murder, as this depletes your spirit meter) and crucified, then on the cross holding 'meditate' to come off the cross - a 'feature' documented on the dev's website. Unfortunately, when you get to the trial it is a literal 50/50 chance as to whether you don't get freed, and then a 1/5 chance or something that you get crucified (unless you were convicted of murder, as this is always crucifiction, but as I said before this depletes your spirit and you can't meditate off the cross). Getting the guards to arrest you rather than beat you up was an absolute pain.
* The fastest way of moving (unless you can unlock the speed meditation, which takes too long) is to be 1 foot high and 100% agility.

@empath: If the rest of the posts aren't making you realise, then yes, the rest of the stream is beyond hysterical.
And it was on a pretty solid good footing to start with. Who knew zoo races had so much more to give at the end!

There is a miracle (I think, or a cheat) that lets you eat *anything*, so that makes sense (in so far as sense can be made...).

Well, it's later!
Yeah, so far I've gotten to the point of Cam watching some of Zoo Race and needing to leave for a moment...
The You Testament...hmm; that's pretty bad - well into the range of 'entertainingly bad'...but, wow - FULL, unlocked Zoo Race?
Oh, I think Prayer Warriors: A.O.F.G. has some genuine competition now!
"'I.N.R.I.' - latin for 'I didn't do the research"
And when G&A took a look at the "Vision" Chakra...
It's even better/worse if you...well...
Okay; yesterday I watched more of this W+P, but got hung up during The You Testament[/i]...and when they went for a break, I got an impulse and...made a bad decision:
I went, downloaded, installed, and played The You Testament myself.
....um. Yeah.
It's far more fun watching Graham, Alex and whatever guests react to this stuff.
'MDickie's' overall theme of the game is...well, let's just say this: if he's on someone's watchlist, I'm gonna sleep a little sounder.
But Zoo Race: Noah's Adventures 2? This is Prayer-Warriors-level absurdity and just utter wrongness, but there's one thing that it has over PW - that terribad soundtrack...
But now I'm gonna go back and watch the rest of this...t-....ab-....this WHATEVER IT IS.

Re: Watch + Play
Zoo Race was soooo funnybad. That episode was second only to Prayer Warriors.
I don't think anything will ever make Alex just shut down like that last bit in Prayer Warriors did.
