Re: Paper Boy
Ah, y'all are in GREAT form, as ALWAYS. The punchline was totally expected, yet the delivery still made me laugh out loud (and prevent my wife from hearing it, sadly)
I expected some kind of blooper after the credits, but James interacting with the Paper Boy was AWESOME! Smoothly delivered and totally taking the absurdity of the whole sketch to the nth degree.
Oh, and yeah, I had to give it about five minutes before The Escapist's website would load ANY page for me, which makes me wonder if the partnership between Esc and LRR isn't so much going to 'ruin' LRR as it will crash the heck outta the Escapist's servers?

Re: Paper Boy
MUCH better than last week's. Reminded me a lot of Toilet Humour, but that's not a bad thing at all. Nice to see Tim in a semi-starring role (though I hope this doesn't become his iconic role, as talked about on the podcast last week). I laughed out loud multiple times, and the blooper was HIGHlarious. And I absolutely loved the editing for when Graham jumped down and then came sliding on his back under the stall door. Very fluid and natural and it felt like he really did do that move (though I must say, I was thinking "Poor suit!"). I was expecting the punchline somewhere down the line, but since this week was filled with jokes, as opposed to last week with its reliance on the surprise punchline, I really enjoyed it. Hell, I'm going to watch it again right after posting this, and that doesn't happen too often.

Yeah, this might not be the best place for it, but I feel I too must mention that both LRR and the Escapist have been laggy / glitchy as hell. It saddens me when I can't get to the forums :[empath wrote:Oh, and yeah, I had to give it about five minutes before The Escapist's website would load ANY page for me, which makes me wonder if the partnership between Esc and LRR isn't so much going to 'ruin' LRR as it will crash the heck outta the Escapist's servers?

Oh-HO! and the plot thickens!
I hear those are quite comfortable, but I've never gotten around to finding out for myself.

Re: Paper Boy
The only thing that would have made this one better would have been a referance to wiping with the neck of a live goose. For we all know that's the best way.

Re: Paper Boy
I really liked this one, and the last bit with James and the towel was the best. Oh and don't lie Tim, we all know you weren't wearing boxer briefs, its just special effects.

Re: Paper Boy
Excellent video as always. Shorter than I like them to be, but the length was suited to this particular video, I think. Only real downside I find is that the punchline was predictable, but the build-up remained humourous. Great acting by both Graham and Tim.
Just call me Dylan. It's easier to pronounce.

I'm just wondering why they didn't use the monogrammed toilet paper.

Well, I suppose now Tim can list "Willing to take off pants" in his resume.

It's "shop towel", basically for cleaning up spills or oil and grease, etc., in workshops. Super thick and pretty soft.

Hah oh man the punchline slayed me. On paper this video is just silly and a bit weird but Graham's performance was suburb. Tim obviously also did really well.

Re: Paper Boy
This video had a great laugh to length ratio and i needed something funny to watch after having to be outside for ~1hr30 because of buses. I would have thought it to be funnier if paul was used and had that eager approach. And the stinger was hilarious to me!

Re: Paper Boy
So, would you say thatth shoptowel would have been more appropriate? Or is that the $600 roll.
Re: Paper Boy
Very good. This reminded me a lot of Monty Python comedy, transplanting the mundane with the absurd. One of the best I've seen from you guys.
Re: Paper Boy
I had quite a few laughs on this one, though I agree with a bunch of others up there, punchline wasn't that great. The concept was..creative, though I dont know. Maybe it's just me or I just found it a bit too awkward for my taste. Kind of like how I felt with "Has this ever happened to you". Overall, a good quality video by LRR.
Oh! forgot to mention that James's stinger at the end was HILARIOUS. The towel is back!

Re: Paper Boy
Just figured out which bathroom at UVic it was. Handicapped Men's room on the main floor of the Engineering Building, eh? Also, nice job with the garbage can in front of the door.
