Smallpox

Postby Graham » 21 Sep 2009, 09:02

It's odd, it's quick, it's... smallpox!

I don't know why the upload keeps ignoring the "Private" box and goes online without asking me, so sorry it hit YouTube first. I'm looking into it.

Ah, wondered why it took so long to show up.

Like I said on YT, best T-Shirt ad yet.

And the video was pretty good too.

VIDEO IS DOWN TEMPORARILY WHILE I FIX THE AUDIO SYNC PROBLEM.
Not sure what went wrong there.

I'm really angry right now, with two things.
Final Cut Pro, because there's no reason for it to slip the audio like that (it wasn't dubbed so it makes no sense).
YouTube, for putting the video online without asking.

Grrrr.

Short, sweet, and my shouting of "What?!" in small fit of laughter drew attention from the others around me.

Loved it.

P.S: Don't watch LRR videos in class.

LRR is on a Jer-page. Er, Jer writing/being in videos.

I like how this was all done in one shot. It made it seem more...genuine?

Odd. The video was odd, fun, but odd.
The Brad "Buy a Shirt" Promo was very nice, but overall the video was odd.

A) How long is "a while?"
B) I liked it
C) BOOM MIC! I SEES IT! Several times. Since, to my untrained eye, that looked like mostly one shot, I can respect not redoing it, but, well, I saw it like twice, and shadow once. Just FYI.
D) I liked it (quite a bit. Sad its short, but, well...it wouldn't have worked better longer).
I can put my hands in my head, and I can laugh it in the face.

I thought it was kind of well, strange. Some of the banter was funny but the overall joke was a bit lacking. I liked the ad, though; sad to not have Brad for a tad.

EDIT: I assume the podcast will be up soon so we can indulge in more glorious LRR?

Everyone was discussing this before recording the podcast. Was pretty fun from where I was sitting, but I think I preferred it with Jer & James rather than Tim & Jer, respectively. The dialogue seemed more appropriate for the kind of people they typically play, but maybe I'm just biased. :P

Still funny, even with the change around in the cast.

Holy...erm...cow! Brad's coming to our small country?!
On behalf of all us LRR (and Brad) fans out there, I'd like to preemptively welcome you to England. York's a great city, (as I imagine you already know.) My brother was working there last year. What made you choose England (or York), if I may ask?

As to the video - love it. The ad was hilarious and I must say that I liked the political banter - I think it worked, character-wise. I saw the boom though :D Not a criticism, just saying. 8)

I tried to cover for the mic wherever possible.

The shadow is actually Tim's head, not the boom.

Like I said, not a criticism from me! It was actually the mic I saw, not the boom - but anyways I know how much work this stuff is - you're doing a much better job than I ever could. Besides, you guys write way better comedy than I can and that's what matters, right? Top notch stuff!

Hmm.. I'm going to have to say this one was ok. Not to say it was bad, and I definetly appreciated the fact that it was all one long take. Plus some of the diologue was interesting. Just the pay off wasn't quite there (and yes, I did hear the vile breaking) and it was unusually short. Enjoyable but not amazing.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Well, ok.

I was very confused this morning when I found the video on youtube. I thought it was an old video, but I didn't remember Brad having gone to england before. I had to check the wiki see if it was new or not.

Excellent t-shirt ad, my favorite so far.

I always knew those young republicans were up to no good.

Ah, my bad.

I figure I should temper my semi criticism of your editing talent (it wasn't, really, just an alert) by saying "damn you've gotten better."

I was recently watching offensisensitivity again, and man, I hate that ending. It goes on too long, and the joke was just hanging in the air.

In this, it was perfectly timed. Flawless execution of the cut (sometimes too short cuts irritate me more than long ones, here it was perfect).
I can put my hands in my head, and I can laugh it in the face.
