The Trouble with Scribbles

Postby Graham » 06 Oct 2009, 07:50

Well, it's late, for a myriad of entertaining reasons, but I'll talk about that in the podcast.

This thread is for talking 'bout how cool the video is! Great job, Tally!

This was really spiffy! There still were some sync issues here and there, but they were barely noticable and could have just been some lag on my end.

I notice Morgan is sportin' the new piercing. Looks good. Great video, interesting concept!

Scribble Fridge'd is going to become a thing for a bit, isn't it? It has that flavor...

Also, when did an Elephant become the solution to every problem? I mean, it works, but how?

I didn't think building a video around a video game premise would work, but it did. Kudos!

LOL Morgan looks like he found the wrong time to walk in on the Smurf Bukakke Festival.

Now that THAT'S out of the way, the video was pretty funny, I enjoyed it a lot.

I just bought this game on Sunday, and I sort of go between extreme silliness and frustration. "Get the princess saved, but don't hurt the witch." What? Why? The witch is evil! Who the hell cares? What crap!

I'm still having a ton of fun, and this is the first DS game I've bought in about three years.

Also, was that shirt one of the "Somebody has to change" shirts?

Congratulations Tally on your writing debut! This was awesome.

I LOVED the nod to Hitchhiker's Guide there.

And do I want to know why Morgan summoned a sheep? No. No I do not.

I think I now understand all those encoding errors.

But then again, I probably don't.

Nintendo, Warner Bros. Interactive and 5th Cell should send you guys a thank you note for making such a good video for their game. Great stuff!

Also, who was the other guy with Matt at the beginning of the vid? Don't recognize him.

I wanna say it was Allen (Allen!?) from the podcast, but I'm not sure.

The video was funny. Video game parodies and whatnot always make me laugh.

Well done Tally! Like I said in the YouTube comments, this makes me want a DS so I can get the game. But, I might just settle for getting my gf a copy and play it on her DS.

There's a lot of win here with Morgan's return, the towel bit, you guys summoning all that random stuff, and, of course, the Scribble-Fridge.

Oh yeah, one more thing, I didn't recognize the guy in the ad and there's no credit for him. ?

Ah brilliant, I've been wanting to get Scribblenauts for a while but haven't yet found a copy.
Thought that the writing was very good and fits right in with the LRR style. Kudos to Tally on that front.

Seems to me that this one could take off.

That'd be Allen in the ad, he was in town for the weekend. Usually he's in Vancouver.

Also, yay for Tally's writing!
