Re: The Secret of the Sauce
I keep going back to the line "She stood there, framed in the doorway like a painting of a woman in a picture frame shaped like a doorway." That sentence was built like a rubik's cube.
Oh come on, now I'm speaking in simile! This thing is infectious! It's "Rebellin'" all over again!
But back to the point, this was the best season opener yet. Even discounting the fact that it was a sequel, it was hillarious and stylish. It seems a bit early to say that this is going to be a kick-ass season, but I've got my hopes way, way up.
I wonder if we'll get the 2009 LRRies? I missed them last year.

I call for behind the scenes photos, or atleast the movie without the effects. Like you did with high noon, I wanna see what you looked like.

Re: The Secret of the Sauce
Wow, love that, great ending loved the similes (obviously they're what makes it work so well!)... my favourite bit wasn't the accident though, I loved the "it was hard with wet pants" but definitely it was...
"I was confused... like a really confused thing"
...
"No Still confused"
Also, when Graham is doing the narration, he sounds really sexy, I thought I'd mention that as -everyone- has mentioned Kathleen (not that I don't agree, but Graham's sexy voice is there all throughout the video!)

I love the irony that JUST before I watched it, I had been eating pizza. MMM. Delicous irony.

Well that's awfully cheesy.

Oh and you can just call me Dave.
No need for the whole screen name.

I meant sequels.

Re: The Secret of the Sauce
Very nicely done. There were some similies in there that would make the Blackadder writers proud. Kathleen (as already mentioned) looked right at home and wondrously glamorous. And Paul's fake beard thingy was brilliant.

Re: The Secret of the Sauce
Suddenly I too feel like eating pizza.
Video was almost perfect. Writing, music, acting and all played together very well, and the little strange 'flaws' (I don't have right words to describe my thoughts) just gave a little character to it. Jer's Chief was great, especially his voice. Kathleen as Femme Fatale... perfect.
Somehow I liked the "I got dressed in the shower to save time" -thing.

The season-opener is a bit early to start predicting anything, let alone trends.

Re: The Secret of the Sauce
Four pages, and there's still so much I loved about this video that people haven't mentioned yet! I gave up trying to keep track of all the bits I really wanted to congratulate you guys on before I got halfway through, so just take it as read that if it happened, I thought it was brilliant. Dialogue, visuals, the lot.
There were a couple of shots with not-entirely-black background, and the blackmail one did have a yellowish tinge - I don't know why not everyone is seeing them - but it was so freakin' amazing in every other regard that it would seem churlish to object too loudly.
More like this, please!

If the videos keep being as awesome as this, season 4 will have a run for it's money.

Re: The Secret of the Sauce
re-watching this, I suddenly find myself thinking that someone, somehow, should make an actual noir pizza joint.
Not sure how it would actually work, but I'd order from there at least once.

Relatedly, a good name for a noir ice cream shop would be The Malty Falcon.

Re: The Secret of the Sauce
Just the level of witty awesome that people come to expect of LRR.
I have two TINY nit-picks, that may even have been mentioned in the previous posts here, but...
a) Noir is typically associated with Fedoras rather than Trilbys (as I said, trivial),
2) (A little late for a spoiler, but better safe than sorry)the 'Legend of (El Casa's) Secret Sauce' would only aid Saucy by bringing down El Casa - revealing El Casa's secret would have NO effect on Deep Dish, and thus not aid Saucy and her pizza place (the name of which I've already forgotten; damn Alheimer's) against him/them.,
iii) I don't index very well.
D) ...and I also can't count, apparently...

Re: The Secret of the Sauce
As regards number 2 I thought the idea was that Saucy would simply say that she now had the secret to the sauce. It being a placebo it wouldn't matter if she did or didnt actually have any huge change to her sauce.
1) Thus more people would come to hers
2) ????
3) Profit

Re: The Secret of the Sauce
I'm sure he's got a plan to make her look HORRIBLE in the next video as a way of balancing the scales. Either that, or next week we get to listen to his "Periodic Table of Elements" song and Kathleen gets to be worried.
