If we're playing Risk now, you can take Canada.

Izzard?

Hitler never played Risk when he was a kid.

Anyways, really funny video, a shockingly accurate portrayal of reality TV. And for ocne, Paul didn't die! Way to break traditions.

Jer, you really pulled off the slimey reality show host!

Awesome video. Graham, editing down a large amount of footage to create something entertaining is how reality television works. Hundreds of hours of footage are turned into an half an hour story.

uhh... Paul got killed by zombie James seconds before the ending.

The more amazing thing is that Paul wasn't typecast as the zombie.

Well, it seemed like they wanted a mindless zombie, so that could be why they didn't pick Paul.

But, eh, I don't know.

I loved this one. But, I'm also a sucker for stupid reality shows. Been watching Big Brother for as long as I can remember.

To whoever mentioned Julie Chen, a dead monkey in a pillow case could give her a run for her money. She's only the host of Big Brother because her husband is the president of CBS. Anyone who hosted that badly would have been replaced after season one. There's a reason she's been called the Chenbot for 10 years now.

But as far as continuity...

The Episode's are recorded in a row and Jeremy Michaels is veteran enough to know the schedule of release. The four day discrepancy is most likely from moving the group from place to place and combing days from previous episodes.

That's it right there.
Reality shows that don't require audience voting are shot in a 14-day span and spread out over 14 weeks.

I'm sorry guys, there's no consistancy fail here.

ON THE VIDEO:

I enjoyed it thoroughly, good work, sirs. I am curious how the rules work if they can vote people out by claiming they're a "zombie" but there is only one zombie. I guess the game ends if they all vote out the zombie and they all 'win'? Is this out some actual reality shows work? I don't know.

ON RISK:

My favorite strategy in risk is currently the Golden Horde.

If you start with mongolia, put all units in it every turn. Take one territory each turn until you have enough cards that you can turn them in but not too many that you will be forced to turn them in.

If you don't start with mongolia, take mongolia because it's not necessary but man it's cool because you're like ghengis khan and shit.

Basically you ignore continental bonuses on the assumption that attempts to take continents and keep them will cost as many or more units than they give. Thus you just amass an army that is too large for any one (and, frequently, two) players to attack as your defense. Turn in your cards once "shit gets real".

I have finished many games of Risk. The average game only takes three or four hours; that's not ridiculously long.
