I'm always dubious about wishing customers "Merry Christmas" in lieu of "Have a nice day!" in case I thoroughly offend somebody. Then again, seeing as Christmas turns malls into buzzing activity centres of death, I seem to thoroughly offend people on a regular basis just by smiling too much or telling them how much they're ringing up on their Visa. So I might as well...*sigh* ah retail...

That was great. I think the better approach is just to rotate holiday greetings without ever thinking about what holiday that person celebrates. Tell the pope "happy kwanza", he's not listening to you anyway.

Well, strictly speaking, Winter-een-mas is in the last week of January so it's in the wrong end of the month to count around those traditions. And now I have a spare xbox controller to make the scepter, oh I'm so happy.

I don't know if this was the one, but I was in Seattle and they had a "Holiday Tree" outside Westlake Center.
Now, I happen to celebrate Christmas. However I do not wish to offend anyone who doesn't. But COME ON!

CHRISTMAS Trees are pagan, not religious, Christmas is the only holiday that has a tree, so if it's that big a deal, why have a tree at all?

The tree that actually caused the most controversy is the one in Rockefeller Center in NYC in front of the NBC Studios. "Saturday Night Live" recently did a similar sketch on the topic where they de-Christmas-ized Christmas songs.

I usually try to say happy holidays to people because you can't really go wrong, and quite a number of my friends don't celebrate Christmas.

The only thing that might have been better is I thought the close up on Graham was a but too close up consider the style of the rest of the video.

I'm offended by your disregard of me. It's not a Menorah at all, it's a Hanukia (With a gutteral H). Menorah has 7 candle thingums, a Hanukia has 8 and one extra (for lighting them all, it's the thingum in the middle). But now you have corrected my ways, I shall now call it by it's non-denominational name, thank you.

I did think it was a little odd that Morgan was dumb enough to think kind was a "C" word, but that he knew what a Menorah was (or a Hanukia, whatever).

For what it's worth, the decorating of the tree is in fact, of pagan origins, having to do with the solstice and saturnalia. We should just all wish everyone a happy winter or a merry solstice or something. This is just getting ridiculous.

did you not see my post? i have celebrated kwanzaa on at least three occasions.
not admitedly none of those were actually on kwanzaa. and none of us were black. and people generally just got really drunk and set fire to chickens (on successive years the police and fire department were called).

but nonetheless!
