Re: Split Decision
This was fantastic! Amazingly quotable!
I've already made part of it my signature.
That tuxedo needs it's own credit at this point, BTW.

Re: Split Decision
AAAAAANNNDD IIIIINNNN THE BLUE CORNERRRR A VERY FUNNY VIDEO!
You're continuing your streak of very funny, yet very silly videos. This one kept me chuckling, and Graham's announcer voice is hilarious.
On a related note, I'm now going to go back and scrutinise the whiteboard in Informational Presentation a bit more closely, because one of the videos clearly visible on there was "unemployed announcer". Did Graham maybe forget we could watch in HD now?

Now, I'm not gunna say the drowning bit was the best bit ever, but I was laughing so hard people came to see if I was okay. Overall - THE WINNER IS YOU!!!!!! And shame on you Jer, Pokewalkers are not for cheating.

Re: Split Decision
Oh man... Jer after the lifeguard bit is fucking priceless. I'm also amused by the fact that he's apparently reading off of a printer test page at the beginning.

Re: Split Decision
That video was great! One of the few recent ones to actually get me to laugh. Although, I was laughing at the drown victim, so I'm not sure if that says more about me, or about you guys.
My sadistic sense of humor aside, I can't tell if your signature is sarcastic or not, Tim. If it is, then you've got a hilariously sassy signature. If it isn't, then you have the most earnest testament to one's laziness I've seen in the past few years.
Also? Was Jer supposed to start off the video nervous or eager?

"Flat beer or a lumpy mattress. Take your pick."
"I'd prefer a flat mattress."
"Hmm.. Well, it could be done.. If I take the lumps out of the mattress, and put them in the beer, you'd have a flat mattress and a lumpy beer!"

Michael Buffer must be pleased to learn that he has a fallback career.
Kathleen's bit after the credits was very well done.

That was legendary. That has easily become one of the videos I am going to show people to get them into LRR.

Re: Split Decision
I thought Jer's box bit was hilarious, especially for the apparent straight man in the video.
Graham's character is just a man out of time. He would have had the town crier job DOWN.

Re: Split Decision
I loved this one. Had me giggling all the way through and I burst out laughing at the stinger.
Re: Split Decision
I now I say this about most of your vids, but this was seriously the funniest thing you guys have done in a long time. Probably my favourite Escapist vid. I mean, I very rarely laugh out loud at things, but this set me off laughing so much. Jer was perfect, and Graham's announcer voice was just... wow.
Also, the tuxedo still being worn as a lifeguard was a master-stroke.

Re: Split Decision
Jer's character reminds me WAY too much of my own current employment agency support worker! Loved it, though it is proving difficult to get the announcer voice out of my head...

Re: Split Decision
Loved it.
I can see the writing process for this one; "We spent $19.95 on this tuxedo at Value Village; there's got to be some other way we can use it..."
Loved the reference to Right to The Source (even though it's not one of my favorites).
Finally, continuity! Kathleen apparently works at the Island Sexual Health Centre, yet gets her test results phoned over to her in the same office?

The lifeguard bit... genius..
Though I may be slightly special, seen as it took me a minute to realise what he was, what with the tux and all..

Re: Split Decision
I really liked this one, especially the rapid cuts (and props to Graham for a straight face through all of it), but I had two main problems. Jer's voice in the beginning sounded like he was going for an accent and then gave up, and a lot of the on-the-job shots had a really shaky cam. Were both of those on purpose?
On the other hand, tux + bathing suit = win. "He recently enjoyed the water slide and now he's DROWN-ING!"

Re: Split Decision
I love how visibly satisfied the announcer guy is in his new job. It was very sweet, because he was really quite a sad character! He wants to communicate but he can only do so through these grandiose announcements! Also great body language from James in his teensy role.
Also yeah I liked Jer in his upbeatness. Cause you could also have played him as being like exasperated with the announcers obviously insane lifestyle.

Nothing to see here.
Re: Split Decision
I really liked that last clip b4 the credits for 2 reasons: 1. Paul in the background just looking like a phone tech completely nonchalant, a excellent foil to Graham. 2.Graham absolutely sold that little up lift and smile at the end. SO GOOD! hes just so pleased with himself.
P.S. Props for Mr.Tubs. a great place to get ice cream! and yes i totally called it b4 the credits. and yes there ice cream is om nom nom nom

Re: Split Decision
Definitely a win here guys. I do have to say that I'm going to have Graham's delivery of 'Hoooot Yoooooooung Stuuuuuuuuuuuuddssss!' stuck in my head for a while... maybe make a ringtone out of it..
