The T is for Tim, obviously. We can't go around changing everything.

I kind of feel sorry for the crew on this one, because you waited for so long to film it and I think that could be part of the problem. I loved the video, don't get me wrong, but the fact that you had to wait until it had a *perfect* set up kind of distracted from the jokes, which is why I think people didn't find it as funny. People expect more from a sketch that looks prettier, is all I am saying. Then again, I could be completely wrong.

I'm thinking most of the criticism comes from the ending which, in all fairness, might have been a little weak, but it was one of those videos with an excellent premise, brilliantly carried out and then, "where do we go from here?" Somethimes brilliant ideas topple at the end.

My favourite alternate ending suggested is the Matt thing. And no, not for reasons people familiar with my previous Matt stalkering are expecting. But, I suppose that's why you didn't do it. Having Matt walk into an empty room at the end would have been predictable and your stinger came out of the blue. I really liked that.

All in all, congratulations on another brilliant video. This is why Alex should write more.

P.S. Kathleen looked damned hot.

I loved the special effects in this one, really hoping to see more of them later. The secret in the final fight is to make sure they are conscious, their latent abilities never work when they are conscious. Also, let one walk away is a common practice in fights with 20 children, maybe they just got those rules confused with the 'How To Raze A Village' a common, yet fatal, mistake.

Loved the poker before dusk reference early in the video. In the end the butler kicked ass. Great job as usual.

This vid looks like you guys had a lot of fun planning and executing this one. Awesome job! Very nice job, and the Starks' dinning room looked like it would fit perfectly into Craigdarroch. Were there any videogames that you guys were specifically trying to emulate?
Kathleen, I like the hair. Did you dye it again after Quiz Bomb? :)

OK, I didn't laugh out loud, but I loved it.
I think the humour was inherent rather than in-your-face. Or something. Anyway it was great. Particularly the setup, which obviously took considerable time and effort.

I had a unshakable grin on my face for most of the video.

Thank you, again, for what y'all do - because what you do is AWESOME.

metcarfre wrote:Sometime it would be fun if a really short video were to end on a rad nauseum moment, and you did nothing with it (like a really awkward ending). Then after the credits roll, have almost another full video's worth of various stingers, all with the classic numbered stock footage in between, and a clapperboard "TAKE SEVENTEEN!" thing.

It could also just be a video poking fun at multiple ending video games. It's also reminiscent of the improv game "quick change" where the moderator yells out "change" and the actors immediately have to immediately repeat and alter their last line. With good actors it can be pretty hilarious.

If this were up on LoadingReadyRun.com and not the Escapist, I could see Paul and the Crew making it into a Choose Your Own Adventure video.

They'd film 30 seconds of opening, split into 2 choices (15-20 seconds) and 2 more choices from those (15-20 seconds) with 8 endings (15-20 seconds). That works out to about 6 minutes of video. Given the script complexity and extra webpages and coding, it would be a long-term project. I believe Paul managed to deface the LRR site himself upon release of an episode of cHustle.

Taking the tangent further, remember how the podcasts for cHustle epsidoes had them talking about how brutal it was putting together 10-15 minute videos? Now they do that every single week. Wow.

I really liked that video. Great costumes too and I really liked Kathleen's hair, very Ramona Flowers.

I'm in agreement that this video has created characters that need further exploration.

Taken on it's own it's a fairly ho-hum, bad guys have figured out the good guys cliches, it was like watching a video of TV Tropes and the "100 things to do when I become an Evil Overlord" list.

Saying that, I thought that the production was fantastic. I loved the costumes and the characters, and I like the concept of what do villains do to relax?

I think as a stand alone video, it lacks something. It's not bad, I did really enjoy it, but it was a little bland.

But if you were to watch it as the start of a series of videos, then it takes on a new meaning and there's so much there that you want to know what happens next. Does the butler supplant the muscle? How does the muscle react?

So... yeah. I don't really know how to end this post...

Drinnik, I don't think it'd be an opener for a series.

It seems to me it would be the second or third in the series, after we meet the stalwart "hero," and learn what he's all about.

Totally agree we need more of these villains, though.

So points to take from this are, please explore these characters in future sketches?
I would also like that, but I also came up with another idea, same thing but with heroes. Maybe that allready happened with "who ya gonna call" but thats a idea atleast.
Samme kind of concept but with heroes talking about villians. . . . .and butlers.

I just realized that in a sense, you could equate each of these characters to one of the Penguins in Madagascar.

Paul is Skipper, the leader of the group.
Kathleen is Private, the one that draws the attention of the fans.
Graham is Kowalski, the one who makes the plans and knows how things should work out.
Jer is Rico, a world class psychopath obsessed with cutting and slicing.

Man. That was really, really cool. Acting and costumes were spot on.
Also, Kathleen is really good at playing the seductive female.

This video has a lot of very nice build up, but there doesn't seem to be a real pay-off? I was looking forward to a big moment at the end.
