This one made me smile!

I loved the scrooge costume!! And the ghost as well. Very well done. Graham as the wise man was nice too.

The log was awesome too. Not the log!

I don't know what an EMP is... sorry. That was the only one that seemed a little off because I could clearly see the photoshopped blackness (unless that was the joke and I didn't get it).

I, however, am not avoiding Christmas, so MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!

Electro-Magnetic Pulse. The idea is an EMP-device sends out an EMP wave, which disables all electronics in a fixed radius.

The variant here was more of an EMP gun, and effectively destroyed the power circuits throughout the house.

Getting the song however is a feat upon itself. Noone has been able to acquire it from any source other than graham giving it to them I think.

Maybe because it's actually 'Frappe un Petit Battement'?

Considering the sketchy way it was acquired in the first place, this is not terribly surprising.

Matt knocked it out the fucking park with his physical comedy, but the Christmas cards straight into the shredder was the funniest thing I've seen for a while.

Matt + acting = Macting?

I took the sketchy route, too, and I have the song.

Ripped it straight from Ways to Cure a Hangover (cuz it was the cleanest sample at the time).

Did I comment on this video yet? I don't remember. Regardless, Matt was pretty awesome in this video. His >:< (eyebrows, eyes, frown) face was hilarious.

Actually, it's because 'Frappe un Petit Battement' is a very generic term for a ballet exercise. Ergo, there are a number of songs with this exact title.

This. When morgan and graham found the tune they were searching for something entirely different, and neither remembers exactly what it was.

It was probably porn. All great discoveries are made while searching for porn... or not...

I was under the impression that Bill originally found it while searching for fapping.

LRR-lore states that Bill, Morgan, and Graham were searching the torrents for various hilarious items, when Bill suggested "fapping". This was the result.

Here it is:

Morgan was searching for new music on LimeWire. He ran out of inspiration and couldn't think of what to search for, so he just started inputting random words that came up in conversation.

Bill said "fap fap fap" and so Morgan searched for that.

Fappe ou Petite Battement was the only result.

And thus the record was set straight.

I was always under the impression that the piece of music was recorded by Andy, because you could always hear the pedals on the piano clunking faintly.

Any hope of the War of Christmas II?

Ha, I was closer to correct than I had previously anticipated! (Sure, you weren't looking for porn, but the term was porn related!)

The problem with looking up the song is that the title just tells you that it is two different types of dances - the Frappe or the Petit Battement.

I tried using the song ID on my phone and got the following results...
Winter Wonderland by Eric Reed (which would've been funny, but not correct)
Great Pumpkin Waltz by Kenny Drew Jr Trio (not correct)
Hao Xin Hao Bao by Alex Fong & Stephy Tang (not even close)
You're My Thrill by West Coast Allstars (nope)
100% Pure by John Cale (no)

I would've kept going, but I really don't think I'm gonna find the right song. Since the song is on a loop the song ID program doesn't have enough to find it. I do have to admit that when I first heard it it sounded familiar, but I can't place it anywhere.
Anyone: Would you kindly <insert request> ?
Me: Great, now I can't refuse.

If you look on iTunes or other music sites you can usually find music for 'Frappe un Petit Battement'. Mostly it's on CD's for ballet practice music. Listening to the previews they are all similar to each other, and somewhat similar to the LRR X Ways to Y soundtrack, but nowhere near identical.

It's just one of those things lost to the internet.

Of course, at this point a lot of searches are also turning up this thread, so we've started to recurse as well...

I just noticed something.

Some you guys are saying the past two videos were some of Matt's best work, yet he doesn't have any lines in either of them.

What are you guys REALLY saying?

Ways to XY are always good.

Adding Matt to this just made it even more awesome. I'll agree with everyone else and say he was brilliant in it.

Matt's been delivering some really entertaining performances lately. The innocent reporter in "Fit to Print," the villain in the Halloween episode (oh, um, spolier alert), the curmudgeon in "Ways to Avoid Christmas"... If he keeps this up, he might just make an appearance in the next Lisa Foiles video: Top 5 Awesomest Tim Doppelgangers of 2010.
