Well, I didn't expect anything to happen, but I couldn't suppress the urge to anyway.

Oh, wow. Okay. All I've done so far is by chopping up the video I had and adding invisible buttons over top key items, and jumping ahead in the video if you do it right. The more raw effects though, the better I can do (or worse, depending on how you view it :P). [email protected] is my email if you don't want it all public :D

Choosing flash was a terrible idea, I forgot how much a pain it is to code in. Didn't help that eclipse fought me every step of the way :( I'll try to make the promise of SOMETHING up tonight, and since it will totally suck I'll throw in dev pictures. People care about that right? :P

EDIT: HAHA what a lie. As soon as I posted that and went back to work, the entire project stopped producing any usable .swf's. As such, I'm going to sleep. Really want to get this out ASAP, but everything keeps going wrong. Hopefully some pictures will tide you over?

Was anyone else expecting TypeYourNameHere to end up in The Basement after the chloroform?

If anyone makes this into a real game, please include the following.

Sooooo funny. And I didn't just click on the shirt, I continued to click every time throughout the rest of the video. Just in case. For real.

Sometimes I worry myself.

My favourite bit has to be James' "Wait... Matt?", although the whole of Graham and Matt's segment is brilliant.

This really brought back memories for me. The way you waited for the user to click was so perfect if you didnt attempt to see if it would work once your are brain dead. Great job LRR!

Incredible video, and yes, I tried clicking on the shirt. I knew, deep down, that nothing would happen, but there was a persistant glimmer of hope that it would.
I think so many people trying to actually play it says alot.

I'm proud to say that I didn't click on the video. This is, in part, because I had a lot of fun back in the day NOT clicking on those games to see what would happen. Inevitably, the game would simply continue as it does in the actual video. It's clear the script writer had played the same type of games I did.

For what it's worth, I did actually make it to the playtest phase of a LRR cHustle boardgame. It was a 2 player game where Graham and Paul formed rival street gangs and each raced to be the first to write, film, edit and upload 3 videos. I actually played a full game of it by myself and it even kind of worked.
Image
It was at that point I realized that I would never have anyone to play the game with and lost my motivation to see if it could be polished into a real game.

Whatever happened to the metal plate, anyway?

That sounds like a game I would play! Maybe you could make it into an online game.

Also, I agree, where has the Metal Plate gone?

Maybe they used it in outtakes from the last couple seasons, but we havent seen them yet since the DVDs have yet to be released.

No. The plate is a piece of metal from the inside of the keyboard that was destroyed in "Those Games We Played" (the 2006 video). It has become a recurring joke for the plate to make an appearance at random times, at which point it is used as a comedic hammer.

It should be noted that being hit by the metal plate does not actually hurt (much), as the plate bends at the point at which the plate contacts the recipient's head. There is more about it on the LRR S-4 DVD. BUY DVDs.

I think it was a metal plate that came out of a keyboard. It bent if you hit someone with the right side.
Edit: Damn, someone beat me to it.

And it hurt if you hit someone with the wrong side. Like Almost-Matt.

Also, if I remember correctly, James is the keeper of the plate. So James, where is it
