Re: Men
Who supplied the moan?
Re: Men
I'm sorry, but that's pronounced Chair-Mega-Don as in Ar-Mega-Don
Also, there are _actually_ television channels like the one described. For example there's a channel called "movies4men" as well as "Men & Motors".

We have one called Dave, it shows almost non-stop Top Gear, QI and Mock The Week, interspersed only with manly movies.

Re: Men
Ok, seriously everyone, I'm getting really annoyed about the man cooking thing - here and on the escapist.
By only focusing what we didn't put in, everyone is ignoring all the hard work we DID put into the video and the 24 HOURS + (three full days) of post production work Graham slaved over.
A little respect for the jokes that WERE in the video please.

Re: Men
Great video folks,
I had to watch it a couple of times to catch all of the little jokes that I missed on account of laughing. While the surface jokes are funny on their own its all the little details that had me falling out of my chair; especially the great character names you always come up with.
I applaud your use of costumes. To be able to fit so many different characters in a video with the number of staff you had is an impressive feat in it self.
Keep up the great work guys and lady.

Yeah, for what it's worth, I did think the graphics work on this one was killer. Great logos, 3D effects, greenscreen, etc. No mistakes there, the production values on this were top notch.
Re: Men
Fact is, it never even occurred to me at all to include references to Man Cooking, because I was trying to parody something very specific.
Spike TV doesn't have cooking shows, despite how manly it is. They have movie marathons, UFC and shitty reality shows about men and motorbikes.
Gone are the fondly remembered days of watching 2 episodes of Next Generation and then 3 episodes of CSI... sigh...

Re: Men
Quite possibly the best tag line for any TV station. "The Manwork for Man-Men"
And Alex's expression on the ad for "Truck Man" and "Urban Ultralights"
Also Graham and Matt's faces on "Backhoe Boyz"
Also also the word "Tankmandos", nothing else, just the word.
P.S. Good to see Gib again.

While I think your parody titles were spot-on, I have to admit that I would legitimately check out Bus Brothers. For some reason that one sounds appealing.

Re: Men
Great video again, at first I was like What only 3 minutes. But by the end I was just enjoying it so much and the complexity it involved justified it. What happened to Ass Kick 3?
Additionally Zipty Do Da Ass Crackers, will be my new one liner.

Re: Men
Excellently done.
I have to wonder...does Bus Brothers have a spin off? DESERT Bus Brothers?

FWIW, this may be why it didn't gel for me. We don't have Spike here in Australia.

Oh God, I made the mistake of watching this at work.
I completely lost it at Steak Pork's Plank-Fried Jack Butt. Goddamnit, Graham! Ridiculous word reorderings. Gets me every time.

Neither do we, but "luckily" a german station called DMAX tries its best to imitate. Among their hit series is one about 3 brothers who own a scrapyard.

Actually, I watched two CSI eps in a row just a couple of days ago while we were making a rather elaborate meal in the kitchen...TNG's gone tho.
And are you sure it was "parody" and not "try to get work with via unsolicited demonstrations of potential programming"?
To be honest, SPIKE might just be interested in some of what you potentially offer...

A little respect for the jokes that WERE in the video please.
It just hit me over the head that feedback should be more than just one line, so here goes.
I can't imagine even those who moan (see what I did there?) about no man cooking didn't enjoy the jokes that were there...
What did it for me though weren't the visuals (in re-wachting it... damn, Graham, no wonder that took you ages.. that's serious commitment!) but the costumes. Some were just so utterly hilarious, like bike boys and Paul as the hiphop-type co-host (please re-use that, it looked so funny).
Sadly I didn't understand the stinger. Will re-watch it.

Watch the LRR video Ar-MEGA-don. The stinger is a call back.
As for the video, I loved this video. As others have said, the rewording of the ad was inspired. Bravo my good LRR, bravo!
