Yeah, I was thinking the extra music was deliberate for effect.

Anyway, I have a second hard drive that automatically backs up all of my stuff every... week, or two weeks or whatever I have it set as. I'd like to keep my soul safe from Dale as long as possible, thank you very much.

I just wanted to use more of Bradley's porn music that he made in, like, an hour or something.

Would you be able to put it on the store with the others?

Cool video. Loved Pauls cats name. Dale as the Devil was excellent and the (I'm really hoping) fake porn at the end was hilarious. 'Worth it!'

Lord Chrusher wrote:Hard drives are cheep and software exists to make backing up automatic. If you have a Mac there is no reason you should not be using Time Machine. A few people at my work including myself have had issues with our iMacs and having backups have allowed us to continue working with no loss of data.

Time Machine has saved my bacon (and my data) more than a couple of times since it came out. So handy (assuming I remember to turn it back on after I pause it while doing long file-sorting ops that would otherwise chew up more backup space as things lept around between backups... yes, this has happened before).

Of course, I eventually got tired of having individual drives fail and take down my entire backup (or live data) system, so I went out and bought a Drobo for extra RAID-based backup fun (having data storage approaching 1.25TB that needs to be backed up was also a factor in finding a RAID-based backup solution).

Anyway, video!

Awesome. Love seeing Dale as the Devil, and Paul's porn clip at the end had me in stitches.

I was honestly excepting the porn to be yet another installment in the "Midget Vs Donkey" series though I suspect that might have been harder to do a stinger for.

I wonder did cash cats (misconceptions of LRR in porn) lead to this, this lead to cash cats or where they just coincidences happening so close?

THIS. So much this. Bought a Drobo FS (network storage) back at Christmas, and am LOVING it. Access to all 1+ TB of my data at any time, redundancy, AND wireless Time Machine backups whenever I'm at home.

Best. Purchase. Ever.

So, I take it that the CDAA just approves everything, even if it's not dental? Sure, why not?

And the stinger was the finest since "No Rules Means No Pants!", which would probably have a lot more impact if "The First Rule" was a bit further away from now... but still, excellent.

I'm gonna try to work the phrase "iguana marmite porn" into my next conversation.
This video was great and terrifying. Dale in all his glory scares the heck out of me when he does that voice. Also when he did that laugh for Desert Bus 3.
I didn't notice the CDAA until I read this thread and that makes that scene that much funnier.

Also, googling iguana marmite porn will result in this thread as its first hit, and this article as its third: "Why buying Marmite can be like watching porn | Metro.co.uk

A couple of things that I missed the first time around:

1) Paul was pumping industrial waste into cows to prove... whatever he was talking to James about?

2) That's Graham's house, right? I'm pretty sure I recognize the computers from Phailhaus 32 and 33.

3) Oh Dale. You make a fantastic devil, but I'm fairly sure that emails don't work that way (in that they aren't actually stored on your computer).

4) Who is Cameron Lauder?

1) I have no idea

2) It sure is!

3) Unless you have a POP account set up to download from the server.

4) He played Gerald Peralta in Columbus of the Internet. He's a friend of ours who helped us boom.

A permanent goatse desktop would certainly be annoying, but there are workarounds. For example, you could cover up your monitor with an opaque shroud of some sort. Slide it over just enough to see the start menu, allowing you to run any program. Or you could set your web browser to launch on startup, just keep the shroud on until you're certain it's launched. That's just for a Windows machine, but I'm sure you could do something similar with a Mac.

Clear instructions on the shroud should be predominately displayed for unfamiliar users, of course.

In any case, didn't he Devil agree to restore the computer "Just the way it was before?" I mean it is the Devil and he's a deceitful dick, but still.

While the Devil did say that, the contract may stipulate some additions over the base state of the computer. While my knowledge of Canadian contract law (which is what would apply by default to a contract signed in Canada) is limited, I believe it could go either way with the arguments "the devil didn't fully explain the terms of the contract" verses "the contract sticks to what the devil said with only minor additions, and how can you prove what he said anyways?". Besides, how are you going to get the Devil to abide by Canadian contract law?

Not much to add except it's great seeing Dale once again doing what he does best and now I too will have to find some way of shoehorning the phrase 'iguana marmite porn' into my next conversation.
