you know what.... I think I would watch a teen drama where the male lead was a burrito. It would just be hilarious.

i cant help think this video was inspired by the story of Universal dropping Guillermo del Toro's cthulu movie
Last night I was in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling.

As a big fan of Lovecrat, I loved this video. I immediately posted it around to other Lovecraft-loving websites. Well done!

Why must you remind me of that horrible, horrible film again?

I second the sentiment of thatlaurachick. As pointed out in the Escapist comments, I'm looking forward to The Dutch 2...

I absolutely love how me and Graham had the same reactions at the start. I just kept thinking of how much my girlfriend loves Twilight...
The stinger was hilarious too. Best way to a man's heart is his stomach!

I'm surprised! I really had this one pegged as a Paul script, but I was way off.

On the plus side, if it had been Cthulhu instead of vampires in Twilight the movie would have been a LOT shorter.

Re: Imagine if You Will
Awesome video once again. The part that actually made me laugh out loud was at the very end when Graham starts taking off his jacket and it cuts. I think it's the fact that he does it without warning and you just know that he's going to climb over that table.

Carlito popped into my head as soon as I heard the burrito in the zinger.
I prefer the anime version myself

I confess, "handsome, brooding Cthulhu" is a phrase I never thought I would hear uttered.
Congratulations, Graham, or Kathleen. Whichever one of you came up with that.
Also, video was hilarious.

Because I need to inflict upon other people the same pain that movie inflicted upon me.
Just now noticed the poster in the background for The Dutch 2. So this movie is about the Dutch... again? Glad to see you're still doing callbacks to videos as old as The Whatever Thing. Now if only I could figure out what Revenge of the Tropical Terrorists is a reference to.
Re: Imagine if You Will
Since you all saw the poster, and are making the joke, the subtitle on "The Dutch 2" is, indeed "The Dutch Again"

Re: Imagine if You Will
Graham, this is a very economical script: It's three people, one location, and while there's some pre-production work (the posters) it's overall fairly tight. It seems like the kind of thing that could be done quickly. When you write, are you thinking about these factors, or are you just focused on funny?

According to the Wiki, it's mentioned in The James Masterson School for Dictatorial Improvement. Also, because it hasn't been mentioned yet, the third poster is for zOMGies!!.
While no one overhear you quickly tell me not cow cow.
but how about watch phone?

To build a backlog for when you and Kathleen where on holiday, did you chose easy to film scripts?

Re: Imagine if You Will
even though i hate the concept of girl-falls-in-love-with-broody-monster type stories i would totally watch that
i also loved Graham trying to hurry things along so as to remove all obstacles between him and food

It would not actually surprise me if a multi-million dollar Hollywood deal had been pushed through because some exec was hungry.
Re: Imagine if You Will
The Vampire craze isn't over until they introduce Edward's sentient pet "Chuppy" the Chupacabra and spin that off into it's own kids show.
It's only a matter of time.

Re: Imagine if You Will
i'm reminded of one of the Penny Arcade DnD podcasts where Wil Wheaton mentioned the saturday morning cartoon show "Rudy The Undead Hound" which he'd just made up to mess with Mike and the other two went along with it. Now that I would gladly watch as well.
