for reference, big budget 32 mil cameras cost between $100,000 and $250,000 and most movies have at least three at any given time. the final crash in "the fast and the furious" had $1.5 million worth of cameras filming all at once.

Well, I think your camera was a good deal. You got a 500 dollar Lens with it, which alone is VERY good, plus you got tons of other stuff.

Great find :D It helps with the videos too. Widescreen is awsome :P

About 1.1 CAD to 1.0 USD. 100USD = 111CAD or so.
So barely anything for us Englanders to care about; you colonials and your crazy currencies... bah.

TV News video cameras are around $40 000 - $60 000.

Your new camera is great! Nice colours - and I'm sure the image looks very nice and crisp at your end. Now, is it sleeping in Graham's bed or in Paul's? Or are you taking turns?

PS. You can really see how much difference a nice lens makes too.

If in tomorrow's (well, Today's for you lot) video I see some smudges on the image, as though there were some viscous liquid on the screen, I'm gonna stop watching LRR and never return.

Agreed, the videos may not actually be in HD, but they certainly look much more crisp.

Well, they will look nice, but they won't be real actual HD.
That would take better DVD media (like blu-ray) and frankly be a waste of people's money (yours and ours).

But the new camera is so damn good, that it looks even better than the supposed amazing upgrade from normal TV to HDTV.

Nice vid. It was nice to see how much better the camera is because i'm male and ofcorse would not have noticed it if my face was not shoved in it. Whahah the dvd release makes me cry. My perants have this idea that if you put up your credit card details on the net they immeadiatly get hacked and all your money is taken.

Well they're wrong then, I use my mate Dave to take only 1/2 of all their money. He takes a 10% commission; I suggest you try him out. Good service as well.

Those features are nice to have

Postby Casandro » 16 Mar 2007, 12:12

I used to do films without features like viewfinders or zoom. My first camera was a CCD camera module. Kinda like a surveilance camera, but without the case. I think I could somewhere post one of the 2 movies I have made with it.
