Now in HD!

Postby Graham » 09 Jun 2006, 18:09

Our new friend is a Sony HDR-FX1 and might be better at writing skits than the lapel mic.

How the new size for everyone? Is wider truly better?

As an aside: WE HAVE A NEW CAMERA AND IT'S AWESOME!
That is all.

Freakazoid! Also known as awsome, who bought it and for how much? And Morgan should trim his beard.

On another note, wider is better. At least in this case.

Somehow I do not think you connected electrical cords from Graham's house down to Willows Beach and back to Graham's house.

Any reduction in file size from switching to H.264 will be eaten up by moving to the semi HD wide screen.

I suppose it was good... important, however not one of the funnier ones. I did laugh out loud at the ending though. That was pretty good.

First Tiki Bar, and now LRR. "HD" is awesome!

Its almost like a plague that is sweeping across Canada. Should it be stopped? News at 11.

Sweet, I'm thinking of getting two of these cameras actually. I'm thinking about either the sony you got, or the Canon GL2 (Depending on the budget). How do you guys like the camera so far? I hear good things about it.

Nice new camera, widescreen is good I think, unless it means you have more empty space at the side ever. Eg for the shots of just one person I didn't reel you needed it.

Nice reference to Made for TV.

Is it me, or have LRR been referencing all their old stuff recently?

For some reason the video was very jerky when I watched it. I wouldn't know why.

[Edit: Oh, and I can just imagine what the LRRCast will be about this week.]

I want to see that SamRaimi mode used more often!

Fantastic video; I loved the fruit bit.

Happy birthday Graham?

Morgan's beard works.
In regards to the video, the opening sequence and credits seem blurrier then usual.

don't i know it! we filmed that over two days so i couldn't get a hair-cut/trim my beard until shooting was done because i had the long hair/beard for the first shots. it sucked. happy to note that my beard and hair are much much shorter now.

one of our objectives for season three was to be more self referential.

Well, I don't know that we've ever sat around in smoking jackets sniffing brandy and proclaiming, "I say, you know what's terribly amusing? Referencing our own videos!"
To which others repsond, "Indeed, ripping good laugh!"

But now that we've done so much stuff there's a lot of material to draw on. It's fun for us, and you guys seem to like it too.
So, good times all around, I guess.

That means you don't have Quicktime 7 installed, so it can't decode the H.264. Try the mp4 link above the video in the popup window.

Paul, you dissapoint me. You didn't put one bit of effort into making that sound like Star Trek. Must do better.
