One does not simply wrangle... wait, what?
Those are some crazy underdrawers if they require wrangling.

Re: Jonny
I think it would be acceptable fan service to have Story Guy in the back of shot (I would imagine in another room, but can be seen through a doorway; out of focus; at a table, in his vest, packing a bag). No attention is called to him.

Re: Jonny
That would be difficult to pull off as graham is both characters and the format is a monolog. I suppose they could ghost edit him like paul in "in death as in life"

Story Guy does not strike me as the sort to blow him self up.

I know it's made of Tibetan yak fur, but Jonny wouldn't remember that.

Why would story guy give away his beloved vest to Johnny? I expect something like his unfortunate marmat long johns to go to him.

Re: Jonny
Ok, I predict that the parties Jonny goes to are going to get increasingly elaborate and/or high-end. Like he eventually shows up (drunk/high of course) to a fancy dinner being hosted by somebody really important.
Like Story Guy.
The problem is that half the TV shows I watch these days are co-written by either Joss Whedon or Steven Moffat, so I keep getting paranoid about certain things, as in "Ooh, could that be a clue? Did he just mention it for laughs or will it have greater significance later on??"
Which is why I've decided to go through Jonny with a fine toothcomb, to weed out all the potential Foreshadowing and Brick Jokes.

JackSlack wrote:Ehhh. I'll be the dissenting vote. This felt too much like a breach of the 'show, don't tell' rule. Following Jonny THROUGH that crazy night? That might work! Being told about it after the fact? Feels massively like a conversation that ends with 'dude, you had to have been there'.
Although I did like his claim that 'pre-drunk' shouldn't count, and 'real guns'.
I'll be crazy conspiracy theory guy and say that it's shot like a Story Guy video because, as with the Story Guy video, there's stuff going on in Jonny's stories that we're not supposed to pick up on right away due to the way he phrases things. I analyzed the video based on the idea that this was close to a Story Guy video, and I am going to guess that Jonny owns multiple, and literal, guns. He says
"Dude shows up at my place with the forty, I show him the guns-"
*indicates arm muscles*
"-and say he's gotta take me to the party since he's gotta go there anyway! Then he says no, and I show him my for real guns-"
*doesn't indicate anything*
"-and he takes me."
Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I'm going to say that Jonny got to that party via intimidation. Which would make sense if he was responsible for the floor collapsing and killing 18 people (you know, the one that went from like this |_| to like THIS |___|). It would also make sense if he really doesn't leave a party without drawing blood. That's why he was the only one who wasn't invited; everybody is scared of having him at their party because he always does highly stupid and dangerous things.
How do I know that any of what Jonny says is reliable? I don't, but my wild conspiracy theory says that, because of the way he talks, we're meant to assume that Jonny is making stuff up to sound impressive, when a lot of the things actually did happen.
And that is why I think it works best as a monologue.

Re: Jonny
I thought the "for real guns" line was pretty self explanatory as far as meaning goes. Whether he actually owns a collection of firearms or not, we don't know, but it does seem to be what he is saying.

Re: Jonny
I keep on coming back to this video. I usually watch the monday update once, and then maybe once again a few months later. This one's got some staying power.
I do keep on re-watching to try and catch possible foreshadowing.

Re: Jonny
After seeing the preview of Jonny Party 2 on Loading Time i am super excited. Also anyone else started refering to them selves using their first initial then a random noun or adjective?
