The "forest" quip is a joke for locals.
There's a known spot in a park downtown called... well... it's a forest, the name is alliterative, and shan't be repeateded here.

I believe its denizens named it themselves, so, there's that at least.

Because while I have not personally used it for sex or anything, there are cruising websites that list all of the local spots nearby. If you can get past the "oh God why this is so creepy ewwww" part, look one of them up, and you can see which ones are safe.

Also, easy rule of thumb that this video pretty much points out: if it is in a busy and very commonly used building, chances are there won't be any cruising until the later hours. On university campuses, this is often when classes are mostly over, at around 6:30pm.

Just dropping in the forums for the first time in forever to say that I really enjoyed this one, my favorite LRR sketch in a few weeks. I commend the crew on handling the whole thing very well, making it very, VERY funny, but only in terms of the ludicrous situation and logic used therein, and not "LOL IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE THEY ARE TEH GAY". Not that I would think LRR would do that, but still, it's a hard line to walk, and was done very, very well. (Also Friday Nights was awesome but that's a different thread)

Personal experience? No.
Does this happen at UVic? Men's room, basement of the Elliot building, tech wing. I have this on good authority, but never investigated myself for reasons which should be self-explanatory.

I have also head that rumour. Since they Elliot building is the physics building, I did a physics degree and that bathroom is only one students are supposed to use in that part of the building I have used it on numerous occasions. I never had anyone preposition sex or see anyone that seem to be cruising; almost always I was the only person in there. There is a sign on the door say that the bathroom is frequently patrolled though.

Confirmed thricely. I actually was confronted by Campus Security in there once. Not only is it the well-known cruising bathroom, but also has been known for drug deals/consumption (not pot, obviously) and also has had a number of rapes and/or sexual assaults of various gender combinations reported.

This is one of my new favorite videos. VERY well handled, and as a member of the male homosexual community I can safely say that it wasn't even a little bit offensive (I know many before me have said this as well, but I figured I would throw in my two cents anyways). I'm quite happy to see some "gay humor" that hasn't devolved to simply "LOL gay buttseks is funny hurrrr". Bravo.
