I was almost in tears at the end (laughing tears, not sad tears). Awesome video.

Woo nice job Met . I like the part where an encyclopedic knowledge of Doctor Who doesn't extend to having the right sonic screwdriver for the fourth Doctor

Nice sketch about the true way to identify a geek, taking something unimportant and taking it way to seriously.

I quite like the callback to Feed Dump in the first line.
Good makeup/wardrobe/prop job for the post-fight scene.

This was a great video & I'm still laughing, but the only question I have at the moment is, why is there a jar of Vaseline up by the Guitar Hero box?

Not just runners. Most athletes keep some around for varying reasons. You can use it to direct sweat away from eyes and prevent blisters too. I get jokes about it too but it's probably still the best thing to use for any of those problems... and the least good for what you're thinking about Jim

Oh, awesome! I can't comment too much yet, since I haven't seen it (idiotically I don't have PubClub yet, and such can't watch it on my iPhone), but I can't wait until I get home!

Or reusing that same wrong screwdriver for the 10th, who still doesn't use that model. (I've only watched the first few seasons of the new series... just got into it, really.)

Re: Some Kind of Geek
My only problem is that the Blackhawks line was changed to 'sl*ts', a word I would have preferred not to use. However, it's LRR's call.
The 'Sexterminate!" line, however, was also not mine, but I think we can all agree it's a keeper!

Great episode, but how many times can you really use the sonic screwdriver line before it get's old... and a Dalek, what about The Master or Jack?
I may not be funny or witty, but that does not make me less strange.

Oh man... The Doctor Who bits...
Good work, Metcarfre.
Good work, Metcarfre.
Re: Some Kind of Geek
Matt figured that since he'd already used "bitches" earlier, it would be good to switch it up. Also, monosyllabic words worked better there for some reasons.metcarfre wrote:My only problem is that the Blackhawks line was changed to 'sl*ts', a word I would have preferred not to use. However, it's LRR's call.
For what it's worth, I don't think "slut" is a worse word than "bitch".

Sorry. That was my change, because the one-syllable insult was much punchier, and flowed better than the two-syllable one scripted.
I would also have preferred not to use it, but I was on the spot, and I literally could not think of another word to use that wasn't worse.

Re: Some Kind of Geek
To be fair, I agree it works comedically and timing-wise, better. And it's entirely MY OWN opinion about the word. It's a change that works and was totally fine with you guys making. Just makes me a bit leery of sharing it with my mom...
I don't have that many qualms about insults to the Blackhawks anyways, so...
No need to apologize, at all, guys. We cool.

Firstly :Very nice Met, it gave me a very good chuckle.
Secondly: Whooo, all the props I gave LRR have ended up in a video. This time the Wii-mote Sonic Screwdriver.

Re: Some Kind of Geek
Excellent job on the script, Met. Well written and well acted by Paul and Matt. Hooray!
I was going to say, Matt's character was basically you. XD Also looked a little bit like you. :B Just substitute girlfriend with boyfriend.
