Seriously bad pun foul awarded to Paul.
I didn't think eggs would be that volatile. Have you guys tried putting nothing in a microwave? I left one empty and had an amazing light show.

The most unique, nicest, and confusing individual you will get to know. Don't be stupid around me, that's my job.

It was all entertaining, but that "smile" light bulb certainly got its job done for me.

A welcome return.

The best part: Graham's noises during the "smile" bulb's microwaving.

Someone on the escapist forum mentioned nixie tubes. I'm sure those would be totally rad in a microwave!

Re: Fun With Microwaves 3
I called eggs exploding an instant before they did. Eggs are engineered to be air-tight, so as soon as the internals started expanding it made sense there'd be a rupture, and given the solid and reinforced nature of the actual shell a catastrophic rupture seemed probably.
The flicker light and the smile light were by far my favourite microwavables, so pretty and I didn't expect half of what they did

Re: Fun With Microwaves 3
Awesome, full of SCIENCE! And the music made me nostalgic so I had to watch the old ones again, it’s a great way to get some of the escapist folks back to LRR when you make a great something 3
If I'm half-mad, then which do you think I consider my better half?
Re: Fun With Microwaves 3
Well, I'm still in the process of going through the archive in order (waiting for LRRumble), but before watching this one I went back and watched the other two.
I love the series! I had to stifle my laughter to keep from annoying everyone around me.

Re: Fun With Microwaves 3
good one
I tried something like what happened with the egg in Paul's hand, only it was a peeled hardboiled egg that I reheated that explode when I took a bit, fortunately nothing too bad happen and I was all healed up after a week.

Re: Fun With Microwaves 3
That was fantastic, I missed these kind of videos. Given that you are LRR, simply throwing away the microwave after you were finished would be unreasonable. What did you do with the microwave after?
Re: Fun With Microwaves 3
So good it almost makes me want to create some kind of post-apocalytic game called Smile and then use that clip as a fallout-style intro.

I have been conditioned to associate that music with marshmallows. Even before they were on screen, I had a craving for them just from the music.

Re: Fun With Microwaves 3
I was in that group of people who saw the title and immediately went "YES, THIS IS AWESOME!!"
The exploding eggs were fantastic, as were the matches, bubble fluid and dinosaur eggs, but my favourite quote is from Graham:
"Cave Johnson theorizes you can make combustible lemons. Let's find out."
So, Mercenary Solutions 3, Fun With Microwaves 3, Jonny Three... Rapidfire Three? Maybe a 30 Minutes or Less 3?

Re: Fun With Microwaves 3
Quite enjoyable. I'd never seen one of those smile bulbs, and it seems like it's been a long time since I saw a flame flickering bulb. Those were unique things I'd never seen microwaved. Glad nobody was injured; the egg mishap was a bit tense.

There is a serious lack of Raymond, but I guess this will have to do , do you guys plan on running more of these or can we expect another in around 3 years.
Re: Fun With Microwaves 3
Just FYI, last time I was there Coombs market had giant Mexican marshmallows.

What did the rest of that paper that Paul was holding up say? "Russell Kramer is not responsible if bad things happen when this stuff goes..."
Still, wanton destruction of household appliances and knick-knacks for science is always fun. You guys should try Peep jousting.

What blu-ray was that?
EDIT (pressed submit by mistake): Fun episode. I hadn't seen the first three. It was interesting watching them.

^ Thanks.
Re: Fun With Microwaves 3
Need to take apart the microwaves, build a super microwave then microwave bigger things...
