I was previously unsure of what my "biggest fear" would be. Now, I'm not so unsure.

The near-universal (seemingly at least) fear of clowns makes me wonder who thought that clowns were ever a good idea.

Of course, in this case I have to question if baby/doll heads would be better. Doll heads like the one of the PS3 commercial. Bleh... Still, flaming spiders with clown heads are a very terrifying idea. I have to give Jimmy points for originality though.

Volcano reference, woo!

Also, I agree with Kapol on the baby doll heads. That makes me think of the baby doll head on the erector set pieces in the first Toy Story movie, but on fire of course.

There is a point where you tip over from being scary to being silly. Trapped underwater with flaming spider baby doll heads wearing clown makeup might be too close to it...

I think a bigger problem is won't the water put out the spiders?

So long as you're in a watertight container, the spiders will be fine. A watertight container such as, perhaps, a powerless submarine floating right above crush depth?

I'd guess that a watertight container like the sub idea would be oxygen-rich though. Couldn't that lead to explosions?

AFAIK Submarine air filtration systems try to keep the gas mixture as close to atmospheric levels as possible (78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen, 1% Other), as prolonged exposure to high oxygen levels can actually cause severe medical problems. So asphyxiation as the flaming spiders use up all the oxygen would be your main concern. Well, that, and the thousands of flaming clown-spiders. Odds are you'd completely break down before you ran out of oxygen though.

I loved this video. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Brilliant early premise, killer swing toward the eventual premise in the middle there. I think you could do more with the setting, too, the idea of a banal office of devilry has promise.

I cant decide what I like better, the video or the discussion going on in this thread. Both are really funny.

YES.
DO IT.

In a fight between, say, 20 flaming clown spiders and the Giant Creepy Doll, who would win?

I was half-expecting a pogonophobia reference/callback, though it's an obscure-enough phobia that it might have been difficult to work in....

Now I really hope that room 101 in 1984 was just rats for everybody. They just figured

"Get a rat to start eating someones face, it'll become their greatest fear and we'll look omniscient. And if they just really, really like rats, we'll just beat them up with the rats. It'll be ironic or something."

I like the video, both in concept and execution. Another entertaining week thanks to Bionic Trousers Media!

Thought it was going to be along these lines at first.

I... Kind of liked this video, but there wasn't anything that particularly had me more than chuckling. I think it's a good thing if that's what disappoints me though.

I'm arachnophobic, which would probably be the best part of the flaming clown spiders as far as terrifying me goes. The fire might give me pause about squashing them but I don't think bowel-evacuating terror would result from the ordeal overall.
