Rapidfire: Episode 3

Postby Paul » 04 Aug 2006, 16:18

The hardest part about this video was the 'beats' gag. You would not believe how many variations on that concept we thought up in an effort find the best one. I'm pretty happy with the result, though.

man I called the beats gag the moment Morgan said it. So it hurt even more when it came up. Although I thought y'all were going to switch it up with something random.

I love Graham the dancing to the shite artifact while Jeremy cries his soul out as his previous conceptions of the "artifact" was crushed into millions of pieces!

I'd say this was the best Antique Street Show sequence (wasn't fond of the one in Episode 2). "Let's say $200." :P

And yeah, I saw the beets joke coming too, and yet still funny.

Congratulations!

U have managed to make a gag WORSE than the "sleep funny"-gag.
Didn't think it was possible.

Also- I too LOVED the ninja-turtle lamp. Who owns it and where did you get it? :D

Kneuronak: I don't know what you mean by "No bad lipsyncing!". We haven't had to redub a video since Nerd Fight.

Lord Chrusher: You correctly called the Harvey Birdman reference, "Did you get that thing I sent you?"

Friv: I think the Street Show pieces get progressively better. It's how we planned them. Just you wait for next time he shows up!

Jacket: The Turtles lamp is under co-ownership by the members of the household consisting of Bill, Morgan, and to a lesser extent, myself.

bar room hero: That's where I got it from! You are correct. In other news, Pork Futures trading is a real thing. Weird, no?

I wept openly at the Fresh Beats thing, just as with the Slept Funny punchline in the first one. So meticulously awful, which, I suppose, is why it works.

Another good rapidfire.

To Graham:

When I watch episodes one and two, you guys are out of sync. I assumed that meant lip synching.

I think the "fresh beats/beets" gag should have gone the same way as the "slept funny" gag. It's the have to watch it the second time round so you can piss yourself laughing type stuff the really gets me. Then again I guess I just likes the "slept funny" one better on the principle that it relied on wit and stealth to get it where at "fresh beats" sorta slapped your in the face with teh joke.

all in all quite funny... good stuff guys.
