The Crazy One
The Crazy One
I imagine a lot of reality shows have THIS EXACT PROBLEM

Re: The Crazy One
Great episode. I hate reality shows and by now I hope everyone knows there's no "reality" left in them.
Re: The Crazy One
Was this written with people in mind for the characters or was that decided later
There must always be a Stark in the Moonbase
Re: The Crazy One
Kind of both? We figured out the characters, then cast the roles while writing, then tailored the writing a bit more, knowing who the roles would be.

Really enjoyed this one. I feel like these characters could be part of the new series of Rapidfire.

Re: The Crazy One
Oooh yea Beej's character would be great in a rapid fire type skit, just drop him in any kind of setting playing that role and let the fun begin. At a wedding! Funeral! Doctors office!

The reflection of the creepy doll's face in the monitor is disconcerting. He SEES me.
Also, thank you to Kathleen for that one shot where she leans to her left and makes Spot fully visible.

Re: The Crazy One
Beej RAWKED this! Wow. Superlatives just don't do his...passion justice!
Cam was droll as always, Kathleen is...disconcertingly believable as a morally-dubious studio exec. And Paul...well, y'know - he knows people, so I really can't talk about him.

Re: The Crazy One
Is Beej wearing a wedding ring? And trying to find a reality TV wife?
Nonetheless very funny! I especially appreciated Cam at the end arguing his role.
I feel like Kathleen was looking too far right when talking to cam. Did anyone else get that or was it just the camera angle?

I've always felt that we cannibals are an under-represented demographic; it is nice to see some recognition, even if it only in the form of a reality show character.Thank you LRR. *proud sigh*

Re: The Crazy One
This was very funny, though while Beej acted well, his character was the least favorite part of the skit! Kathleen and Cam's witty banter, and Paul's vaguely sinister questions/offers were my favorite parts.
Also Graham as the Tiger Guy.
Also also, the return of that ridiculous wig! Last seen, I think, in Spare Us, Gus! I like to think this is actually Chris' (the woman from Spare Us, Gus) daily job. CONTINUITY.
Those posters in the back... I see "Axe Murderer," "Guinea Pig," (?) and... what's the one in the middle? "Creamy?"
Jer IS pretty handsome, but I was a little disappointed that Paul wasn't "The Gorgeous one." Though he was already a character in the skit, so... yeah.

"So You Want to Marry An Axe Murderer", "America's Next Top Guinea Pig", and "Fill This Man with Cream!"
The former was going to be the original joke in the video (10 men via for the hand of a convicted serial murderer), but since we ended with a murder joke, we changed that.

Say, who's face did Beej eat? Or did he get voted off or how ever a contestent gets sent home before he did that?

Is "The Lesbian One" actually a thing? I don't reality shows.
Totally accurate, except for all the times I'm not.

Re: The Crazy One
I hope that Beej is going to stay around for a while, cause he NAILED that performance. I almost believe him when he says he'll eat someone's face.
I'm surprised they didn't keep Paul around though. That guy has some seriously dodgy contacts, which could boost a lot of ratings.

Re: The Crazy One
I imagine reality shows have the exact OPPOSITE problem. I bet the crazy one is easy, and the normal one is the difficult one to find.

"Fill this Man with Cream!" has caused me to make the most ridiculous chortling sound, like a duck being strangled by a euphonium.
I think my lab mates think I'm crazy now.
Re: The Crazy One
So, is Cam getting added to the About page anytime soon?
Also, I do like that Cam basically played himself here.

Re: The Crazy One
What do you mean "they didn't keep Paul around"? Paul said he was willing to work off-screen, and they GOT the Tiger Guy.WAYF wrote:I'm surprised they didn't keep Paul around though. That guy has some seriously dodgy contacts, which could boost a lot of ratings.
